Just north of San Antonio, at the edge of the Texas Hill Country, sits the small community of Leon Springs. Founded in the 1800s by Max Aue, Leon Spring's cityscape changed when Max's son, Rudolph, opened a one-stop gas station, garage, and grocery store. Bar-B-Q was added to the operation in 1989, and Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q has been serving up tasty food ever since. The same original recipes that built Rudy's Leon Springs' reputation are now available throughout the Southwest. Our pits are 100% wood fired with oak, a slower burning wood than the mesquite used by others. Along with time and oak, we cook with a dry spice that ensures each plate of Rudy's Bar-B-Q is perfectly ready for you. Apply some of our famous "Sause" and dinner is served.

Good location

I like this Lubbock location better than the one in Arizona. For some reason the meat always tastes better and is not as dry.

Very good jalapeno smoked sausage. Best I've had in Lubbock! Chopped beef is great as well. Their sauce is not too spicy

For a place that only has BBQ their BBQ was not very good. It was dry and the sauce wasn't all that great. Plus it seemed a little over priced for how much you get. The seating is also family style so if it's busy you could be sitting next to people you don't know. I just wasn't a fan.

Didn't realize this was a chain. There's one in my hometown of ABQ, but I've never been there (my husband didn't like it). It's very confusing when you walk in and try to order when you don't know the process. But luckily, one of the employees walked me through, and gave me samples and advice. I had the turkey. It... Good food, good price, large quantity. Eat there frequently and have purchased meals for our work. Always had lots of food for everyone. Group meals include everything from papergoods, bread, tea, ice, along with sides and meats

Rudy's has been a staple of roadside BBQ for years now from the Dallas to Houston cooridor all the way west to El Paso and north to Amarillomand The LBK. Now they are in Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona as well. Simple but very clean and tidy ammenities greet you as you walk into the LBK version on the south... More

Our family visited the Lubbock Rudy's this past weekend as we NEVER miss a chance to have Rudy's!! Delicious brisket, turkey and potato salad as always. Service was quick and it was easy to park there as well. We bought enough meat to-go for 3 more meals! Only thing missing was the warm BBQ sauce station like I have seen... More
