By far,one of the best steaks I have ever eaten !! We had a college celebration dinner there, and everyone said their meal was excellent. The service was wonderful and elegant !

We have been coming to the Double Nickel since it opened. It was our "go to" steakhouse in Lubbock, but no more. Our last two visits were months apart but the service and the food were both terrible. I guess Ms. West has put her attention elsewhere and doesn't care about this restaurant anymore.

Limited menu. The steaks come with creamed corn, a cheese stick, and a green onion. Anything else is ordered as a side. Expensive drinks and food. Good atmosphere and the service was passable.

Excellent steaks cooked to perfection and very good seafood. Good wine list and the service good. This is where send out-of-town visitors for a great steak and a martini you can swim in!

We sat at the bar and had great service from Caesar, the bartender. Lamb chops were amazing, cooked perfectly. And the creamed corn was also very good. Colleague had a nice steak. Will be back.

I really wanted my family to love this place. I'd been before (even gave it a great review!) but the food was NOT good today! Service was wonderful and even polite when I told them my son's steak was not only very well done but burnt they did take it back and made a new one. Someone needs to teach... More

Upscale steakhouse with a nice wine list. Pretty much the standard fare of a steakhouse, but the steaks were great and serve piping hot. Be sure to enjoy the cheese sticks that come with your meal.

Double Nickel has wonderful food and superb atmosphere. It is a little pricey for Lubbock, but not too bad for the occasional romantic evening out. The cheese stick, which comes with all meals, is not to be missed. For those who have never had one, prepare to be addicted.

In a nutshell... Very good steaks and accompaniments. Deserts were excellent. Service attentive. For my wife and I it is a special occasion restaurant not the average evening to eat out.
