Real Mexican food is a feast for the senses. From colorful peppers to the sounds of sizzling fajitas all the way to that incredible flavor. Each mouthful is just as much a result of the freshest ingredients as it is a result of the chef's expertise. Abuelo's offers diners the opportunity to experience real Mexican food, combining authentic, made from scratch classic dishes with the rich, subtle flavors of coastal and interior Mexican cuisine. Our executive Chef Luis Sanchez has spent decades perfecting our menu, and we boast a wide selection of wood-grilled fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, chile rellenos or Abuelo's unique House Specialties (depending on your location). To compliment your meal, our expert bartenders are masters at crafting signature favorites, including a wide variety of margaritas and swirls. Whatever the occasion, we'll stop at nothing to make your time at Abuelo's a memorable dining experience.

Well it's not Mexican It's Chinese....Never the less it is good!

I would not consider this an authentic Mexican Food Place, but it is good. The atmosphere is a little like K-Bob's with high ceilings. I can't help from feeling like I am in a school cafeteria when eating here, but the food is good . The bacon Wrapped shrimp is excellent, and the chicken... read more

We came here for a large family gathering and I was disappointed because I had heard others rave about this place. If you're here for the ambiance then you're at the right place. It is very nice inside and out side where they have a nice patio area for dining. If you're looking for extra fine Mexican food I would... More

Ann, I'm so sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your dinner with us. We usually live up to our expectations -- exceed them, even -- so it pains me to see we didn't show you a better time. If you'd ever like to come back, we'd love to have another chance to impress you. Best, Brad GM More

We visited an Abuelo's in OKC and remembered it when we saw listing for this one. Could it be as good? Turns out this is where Abuelo's started and the corporate office is still in Lubbock so they make sure it does the brand proud. We had a half hour wait on Wednesday night and our waitress told us it... More

So happy to hear we're doing the brand proud! As a fellow chip lover, I love to know that our chips and salsa are hitting the spot. And you tried the Firecracker Shrimp! I'm impressed, and frankly, a little hungry. Hope to see you soon! Best, Brad GM More

Sat on patio. Good music. Just after "CINCO De Mayo". Service at tables could have been more attentive. There is NO FULL MENU on patio. Appetizers are nice though. Nice aesthetics, decent atmosphere. 'Worth a try. Local music scene there often good there! -depending on your taste, of course.'. Food is good. If on the patio - request their salsa... More

Glad you could make it in for our Cinco de Mayo celebrations! I had a great time, myself, so I'm happy to hear you did, too. Next time you're down for a delicious Tex-Mex meal, we'd love to invite you indoors for the full menu. I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Hope to see you around! Best, Brad GM More

This restraunt is where Abuelos got started. Corporate office is next door. Executives in the company eat here often. Go at off times or you will be in for a wait for a table. You will love the food and atmosphere. I live about a mile from this restraunant, been eating here for years.

Wow! To hear you've been coming to the original Abuelo's for years and years just makes my day. Thanks for the awesome review, and we hope to have you back for more of our extensive menu! Best, Brad GM More

This place was as good as the reviews made it seem. The food was great, the place was packed, service was good. Everything was great. It's a bit on the higher side compared to say an On The Border or Chuy's but it's really worth it. Will be back.

Tasty little Mexican restaurant with an extensive menu. Chips are served with an assortment of salsas. Wait staff efficient and friendly. Ordered off the over 60 menu and the portions were great for the money. Menus offers something for everyone. Popular place that can get busy. Would eat there again.

Abuelo's always serves quality, flavorful meals. We went on a Monday night. The weather was bad, so the crowd was very light. Good service too.

I think the walls/floor/ceiling has a way of magnifying the noise to an extremely uncomfortable level so that you have to shout to be heard by the person next to you which then in turn adds to the noise level. The food was good and the service excellent but the noise made my rating lower and also I won't be... More

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your meal because of the noise! I'm not sure what time you came in to dine with us, but maybe during our less busy hours it would be much more quiet? Also, have you tried sitting outside on the patio? It's gorgeous out there -- especially now, when it's not too hot! Also, there's... More
