If you want the real deal and you are a beef lover, this is your place. Love the atmosphere (very "country") and their rib eye steaks are the best. They automatically spread black pepper on the steaks, I didn't like it but ate it all anyway. If you don't like black pepper make sure you let them know when you... More

That could be because so many people had declared their steaks as the best in Lubbock. The actual cut of meat was thin with quite a bit of gristle. The seasoning was good but would have been better had cracked pepper been used instead of ground; it left a warm afterglow in my mouth. It was decent but not phenomenal... More

First time to this restaurant, loved the food and atmosphere! Met the owner John Cagle, before dinner, very friendly and personable! Excellent steaks, friendly staff!

The address listed is the side street. I almost gave up and followed some bright lights and found it. Wish I had not. Should not have ordered catfish at a steak house. It was recommended by the waiter. When I saw the all you can eat kettle of beans I should have known I would not like it. My dinner... More

This was among the top three or four rib-eye steak I've ever eaten. Perfectly grilled over real mesquite wood with great custom seasoning that enhanced the meat flavor without being noticed. Homemade potato salad like your grandmother used to make. ALL THE PINTO BEANS YOU CAN EAT with buttered cornbread as an appetizer - gratis. Wonderful old West decor with... More

Cagles is Lubbock tradition. As you head up the long winding driveway after you past through a stone archway you are taken back in time. They have a replica of an old west town that is fun. The interior of the restaurant is done in Texas tech and cowboy theme. The food is very good. The wait staff was attentive.... More

We ate at Cagle's last night 7/30/2014. It was not a good experience. My daughter and I both ordered our steaks well done. They were not overcooked. They were BURNED. We did not attempt to send them back because I've heard so many bad things about how cooks react to complaints that I would be afraid to eat anything I... More

Steaks are really good, but they tend to overcook them a bit. On the last two visits my medium rare steak came out medium, I really don't like a steak that needs steak sauce to moisten it up. While the steak is good the sides are a bit lacking in variety and creativity. I do like the compound of the... More

Nice setting in a replica of an old western town. No reservations taken so get there and enjoy the shops and the bar area. The restaurant has wood ceilings which is great to look at but makes any discussion with party hard to hear. It gets really loud. The sald was standard. There is a bean pot for pretty good... More

Atmosphere... is great.....really cool place. Food was good but nothing to write home about. I have had better steaks in Indiana. Price is out of whack for quality.
