Didn't meet my expectations

That could be because so many people had declared their steaks as the best in Lubbock. The actual cut of meat was thin with quite a bit of gristle. The seasoning was good but would have been better had cracked pepper been used instead of ground; it left a warm afterglow in my mouth. It was decent... read more

I had a catered event I attended. Fist off they had no coke products of any kind. I gladly would have purchased, but they had nothing. The potato salad looked like mashed potatoes. It was disgusting, mashed into fine potatoes with too much vinegar and mustard. The brisket was stringy and over cooked. The turkey was the only decent food... More

Last week I had to opportunity to visit the Cagle Steak House while in Lubbock on business. The restaurant is definitely "off the beaten path" but we found it with our GPS. was thoroughly impressed with the place! I was with a group of fourteen and had no reservations so I was a little apprehensive and thought we would have... More

Really delicious rib eye steaks. Granddaughter ordered BBQ & fries and all of us enjoyed our meal. The fries were outstanding and she liked the merry-go-round outside.

I made my fifth trip to Cagles, and the steaks were excellent. There is a side bar with beans, that were delicious. I have had the BBQ, and it was good and spicy. I send all my friends to Cagles when they are in Lubbock. They have a great gift shop on the property, too.

Dined here with Daughter's family, wife and I. Son In Law and I ordered the 1" rib eye ($28!!!) When we got our meals I got a 1" steak and he got a much smaller one. Asked the waitress to bring what he ordered. She gave us the deer in the headlights look. Finally chef came out and agreed to... More

If you want the real deal and you are a beef lover, this is your place. Love the atmosphere (very "country") and their rib eye steaks are the best. They automatically spread black pepper on the steaks, I didn't like it but ate it all anyway. If you don't like black pepper make sure you let them know when you... More

The address listed is the side street. I almost gave up and followed some bright lights and found it. Wish I had not. Should not have ordered catfish at a steak house. It was recommended by the waiter. When I saw the all you can eat kettle of beans I should have known I would not like it. My dinner... More

This was among the top three or four rib-eye steak I've ever eaten. Perfectly grilled over real mesquite wood with great custom seasoning that enhanced the meat flavor without being noticed. Homemade potato salad like your grandmother used to make. ALL THE PINTO BEANS YOU CAN EAT with buttered cornbread as an appetizer - gratis. Wonderful old West decor with... More
