Great Food, Great Service

We eat here often. The food is good old home cooking type food. They have a daily special. Even when the line is long the wait is not that long. The service is always good. It feels like you are with family.

Ordered the fried green beans for an appetizer, and they were absolutely amazing!! The food came out just a couple minutes after the appetizer, piping hot and delicious! Hubby and I both had the chicken fried steak. Neither of us loved the sides that we got (French fries, green beans, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes), but the CFS was plenty... More

Great service, food and atmosphere. All for a great price. Plenty of parking. Located in the old Stubbs BBQ building.

This is a great restaurant for old fashion home cooking--chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak, meatloaf, etc. Their vegetable sides are delicious, homemade rolls and gravy, yum! The pies are backed at the restaurant and are delicious! If you have a favorite, order early as they run out of pies. Very busy at lunch and outstanding service. Love the sweet... More

Not only is the food and the pie homemade, it is just a fun, enjoyable atmosphere. Everyone is nice, helpful, and service-oriented. Tip: Order your pie when you walk in the door and sit down because if you don't, what you saw up front and have your mouth set on maybe be gone by the time you're through eating! It's... More

This place is great, family friendly with lots of choices of good ole comfort food. We all had breakfast items. They were fresh and yummy. They even added chocolate chips to the kids pancakes. The dessert case is packed with lots of yummy stuff too. We took home a slice of pie and a slice of apple bundt cake, both... More

The location is quite easy to access from the major Lubbock thoroughfares, and service was super-fast. We were in, fed, and out in about 40 minutes. But it's not a grill, it's what I call roadhouse cooking - chicken fried steak, hamburgers, etc. Service was friendly. We both had the Tuesday special pot roast, which was decent but nothing to... New in town, went based on reviews and it is definitely justifiable. Everything was perfectly seasoned and we were in and out in less than 45 mins; absolutely fantastic!

Tried Cast Iron Grill today, finally! I was astonished by the number of people there, and worried we'd never have a place to sit or it would take forever to get our food. Wrong! Seated right away, food came out before I could even make it back from the restroom! Our food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. I... More
