Best restaurant in Lubbock

This is, by far, the best restaurant in Lubbock. Great atmosphere and food. The sesame noodles are fantastic. I very much wish that the restaurant provided different breads in their bread basket; they are bland and nothing special at all. I also wish the servers were a bit less arrogant... read more

Definitely one of the few nicer places to go in Lubbock. They have a great menu and a perfect bar room with occasional bands. Great for special occasions.

Lunch with girlfriends, their choice of where to dine. I previously had not really been a fan of Cafe J. However today's meal was not only a good value, but the Baja Tacos were excellent. The fish was fresh, filed high with veggies and topped off with mandarin oranges. Our waiter Tim kept the ice tea and water glass filled... More

Cafe J is not too dissimliar from a lot of other $$$ restaurants in the US. Quality products, creative yet comforting entree selections, a moderately priced wine selection and service that never, ever disappoints. To find these traits in Lubbock, Tx are impossible, except here at Cafe J. The chefs menu changes roughly every quarter, but a few mainstay local... More

We had a great meal and an excellent server. We ordered the suggested red wine, a Texas wine, which was delicious. I had the Rosemary Lemon Grilled Chicken and he had the Beef Tips; both were cooked to perfection.

However, one cannot have everything in a Lubbock restaurant!

My family and I enjoyed another amazing brunch at cafe J. The place was packed and there were tons of people in the lobby enjoying drinks and waiting for tables. The manager, Autry, was greeting people by name and made the place feel like a friend's home (we need to come more often so she will know our names too).... More

The food was good. We purchased a bottle of wine that was one of the most expensive bottles on the menu but when served it tasted like vinegar. We sent it back and one of the managers came out and said this is actually a very good bottle of wine, it just needs to breath. Instead of causing a scene,... More

Two of us dined at an early dinner, 6 PM to 7 PM, before an event at Texas Tech. The restaurant was full, as we had expected it to be, as this is walking distance to TT. It was also walking distance from our hotel, so we did not have to worry about drinking some wine and driving. We ordered... More
