noisy, too much going on

the food was average, crowd was noisy, there was live music, and sports on TV. Too much going on. We just ate our food fast and got out for some quiet.

I stopped by here because of the cool old Dodge truck out front and the neon lights. Reminds me of an old roadhouse joint you'd see in a movie. I ordered the blackened catfish, salad and a corn cob and two little hush puppies. It was delicious, the size was perfect and the Corona was cold. They had a fellow... More

Went in for lunch and had catfish sandwich. I thought it was good. Lots of people eating in and lots coming in when I was leaving.

The restuarant opened up their back rooms to over 170 people and met all of our needs in a very timely and professional manner. The food and service were excellent. We really appreciated the hospitality.

First impression: gross. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The clientele and staff...well, I'm a snob, and that's all I'll say about that. A good friend said it was the best catfish he ever ate (first time he ever had it). Everyone else I'm with said the food was good. I ordered rice & beans, but I can't tell you how... More

Stay with the fish and seafood dishes. A member of our party tried chicken fried steak...it was OK but far from the best that they had at other locations. My fish was good. I have been here before and will be here again. We travel through Lubboch at least 2X a year.

Thanks so much for reaching out, gmcannon! Sorry that chicken fried steak didn't live up to what it should be -- we'll definitely forward that info on to the kitchen team. Give us a shout next time you're passing through! Cheers, Paul and Chris More

We ate early dinner last night. Ordering at the counter was challenging due to the many combo selections. Not many grilled items and other choices ( baked potato, cole slaw, salad) could be subbed for fries. I had the regular catfish dinner with cole slaw. The catfish was lightly fried and seasoned with a thin batter which allowed for the... More

We're bummed we didn't blow you away, Badgelady! We do appreciate all the feedback though, and we'll be sure to forward it onto the kitchen team. Let us know when you make it back again -- we'd love another shot. Cheers, Paul and Chris More

There is nothing that I can complain about I worked in a restaurant for five years at a four star hotel and I know good food.

Ate here twice during a week-long stay. We had blackened catfish, blackened chicken, and burgers. All were good and reasonably priced. Not outstanding but very good, solid, reliable food.

We were just spending the night on our way to Waco. We were hungrey and looking for the best BBQ. We found it just by looking across the way from our Hotel. There were 4 of us some ladies, 3 were not used to walking in and ordering, but we had good representation from the cashier. All had pulled pork,... More
