REAL Thai food, delicious and inexpensive

This restaurant occupies an old Braum's or Sonic, so do not expect fancy dining here but the food is authentic, delicious, plentiful and inexpensive. The owners are Thai and they do the cooking and running the place. I loved that they have unusual drinks like San Pellegrino flavored sodas; you... read more

We visited Thai Thai for lunch and got the seafood special and the putt Thai. I didn't care for the seafood special, it tasted like dirt to me, and the putt Thai was okay, kind of bland. It is very expensive for the portions you receive and the service isn't the best. We might return to give it another chance.

took a chance on this place, overall the food was authentic. Pretty quick and portions were good, not too much, more than enough.

This was one of my go-tos when I lived in Lubbock years ago...when another local restaurant, Thai Pepper, was closed. I recently went back and was sorely disappointed. The hot and sour soup was still good and as I remembered it; however, the dishes we ordered were sub-par. The flavors were off and for the noodle dish we ordered, many... More

The curry is excellent. The place is always busy no matter what time of day I go in there.. so you know Im not the only one who thinks it is good. There is alot to choose from :)

Have been here several times. Food is decent, but service is poor and will not be back. Owner is more interested in making sure you enter a tip in his computer than getting your order correct. He forget to enter my wife's entree, which was discovered after ever else in our party had food served(and nearly completed their meal), but... More

Best flavor in town. Almost like the ones I can eat on the streets of city Bangkok. It is authentic but not fancy, just family dinning style, but I go every other week. Some people might think the owner is a little grumpy looking but that's how he is. He is actually fun to talk to sometimes about food and... More

My wife and I ate here, I would say it was ok. The food was rather bland and the environment was poor. They do have a cool little flower garden. But if your wanting Thai food go to the thai pepper off 19th Street. It is amazing!

This place is a pleasant surprise. In Lubbock on business & stopped in for lunch. Not a lot of atmosphere but had a really really really tasty Pad Thai, probably the best I've ever had. You stand in line to order at the counter & I had locals who were clearly regulars on both sides of me. They all had... More

I have been eating at Thai Thai for many years. I moved away from Lubbock years ago, but I never go through Lubbock without eating at Thai Thai. The owner knows me so well he writes my order down before I get to him. He always jokes with me and says, " I don't know why you move away, you... More
