We arrived in Texas March 8, hungry and tired from our drive from Tennessee. It was about 830 Pm on a Friday evening. Waited about 12 minutes for a table, very busy and crowded restaurant, difficult to find parking, we were seated and explained that we were brand new in Texas. What a wonderful welcome we received from the server... More

There are two fine Cajun seafood restaurants within a block of each other in Longview. Dudley's probably has the best food and largest servings. Johnny Cace's Restaurant has the best atmosphere and dining elegance. Dudley's is a checkerboard-oilcloth table type of place with a motto "Best tails in town." They specialize in fried seafoods and Cajun sides. While the food... More

This is the most authentic cajun cuisine this side of N'Oleans. I have spent time eating my way through south Louisiana and this is as good as it gets and closer than Baton Rouge.

I stopped by on a Thursday and it was busy but not packed. I decided on the crawfish enchalidas which had great seasoning and a delicious cheese sauce. Definitely would get that again. They have a zydeco gumbo which is s combo of chicken shrimp and sausage. I will skip lunch next time so I can try this to!

They serve complimentary cold slaw with each order and it is the best I've eaten since Gus Chicken in Memphis several years ago. The meat portions were a little on the small size for the price but everything was top quality and tops in taste.

We came here to eat before a football game. The posted dinner hours began at 5pm but we arrived about 10 minutes before and several others were going inside so we did too. Based on the reviews here, I was excited to eat here. Our server was good. The food was not so good. My husband had the fried catfish... More

You definitely will not be disappointed with the food or service. Ask for the Hank specials, an excellent sampler platter. Great local small business!

Ate last night, my favorite crawfish étouffée, Always good, and spiced just right , Always freshly made for each meal. Last night over dirty rice, with hushpuppies. Accompanied by Abita beer , the craft beer of southern Louisiana, For dessert , the fresh ice box chocolate pie. Absolutely wonderful every time I eat there.
