The service has always been poor at best with no since of customer service at all! Owner always at corner booth next to bar when she needs to be running her restaurant. Ask for tortillas three times and finally get (3) tortillas...... For (4) people! Same thing time after time!

One of our favorites. Their specials are good and they have queso blanco sauce. We've never had a bad meal here.

After traveling and living in Mexico...the food here is just like being in Mexico!!! Waitstaff is always friendly and you are well taken care of.

I met some friends last Friday for lunch and they chose El Sombrero. This was my first and last time to eat there. First of all, the restaurant is dark and gloomy. You are immediately hit with the aroma of old grease when you walk in the door. The salt and pepper shakers and the condiments on the table were... More

Large serving size. Quick service. Good salsa. Tender fajitas. Nice decor with good access to large TVs. Prices reasonable for dinner.

El Sombrero is known for using white cheese. It's delicious if you haven't tried it before! I've enjoyed everything I've had here, from fish tacos to carne guisada.

Celebrated my last birthday at the Longview location. Excellent service and food. So glad they have opened up in Hallsville now. Service and food are equally good there as well. :)

The white queso dip is the best around these parts. Fajita nachos are so good you will want to relive eating them for days! But the service and cashier are usually rather blah and not very attentive. I only go when I need a Queso fix!

This Mexican is still our favorite in town. Allways fast, reliable, consistent service. Food is allways piping hot. Sometimes on the weekends they have a gentleman walking around singing and playing the guitar. My favorite is the shrimp quesadilla and white queso cheese!

I love the non TexMex offerings from El Sombero. The fish tacos and grilled shrimp quesadillas are superior to anything else in Longview. but I don't like the loud, crowded atmosphere which can be both rushed (to make an order) and slow (for refills and check) at the same time. Also, the owner can be somewhat testy at times. So... More
