Live about 40 miles away and I make trips to Longview just for a bowl of Pho'..P13 is my favorite, spicy with peanuts.
My wife and I had the opportunity to travel to Vietnam for my youngest brother's wedding and while there, I fell in love with pho. We live in a small town in East Texas and have nothing nearby so when we happened to be driving through Longview, my wife spied the Pho Saigon just off the loop. I had to... More
Walked in and an American appeared to be running the place. I was a bit taken back because most Vietnamese restaurants don't employ Caucasians. To my surprise the food was very authentic Vietnamese and delicious. I tried the combo fried rice which is made with bamboo shoots, again more true Vietnamese than Chinese. I will be back.
Like like to find new Pho places while on the road. This one is quite good. I tried the multiple beef and the chicken. The beef was much better than the chicken. They had Vietnamese karaoke playing while I was there. Nice touch.
Good vietnamese food. I have had several of their pho offerings, and all have been good. The spicy satay pho was very good. Lemongrass chicken with vermicelli was also well done.
Although there is nothing fancy here, the spring roll and Pho are great. Service was prompt and the food came out quick. The price was great, a real value.
The atmosphere is a little weird, but have no fear. The food, and the portions are breath taking. The price is great, and a little under middle scale prices. The vegetables are so fresh. My only suggestion is if you like the lemon grass meals, don't get beef as your meat. Shrimp or chicken would mesh better with that flavor.... More
Have eaten here many times and always happy with the food. However just called in a take out order. Phone etiquette of person taking order was horrible. Never repeated my order back to me so I wasn't 100% sure I would get what I ordered. Then he hung up the phone while I was in the process of trying to... More
Drove to Longview craving Pho. Wasn't disappointed in the least. Good size portions and good values.and a wide range of dishes. I had the beef combo Pho and my GF had the beef short ribs. As usual when we take these trips we taste each others dishes so I can review both. The Pho was excellent if just a bit... More
I must be a regular. When I come in, the server puts an icy Dr. Pepper in front of me, and says, "A-1, and P-7, right?" Yep. I keep meaning to try new things, and I do eat off of my husband's late to that effort, but the traditional Vietnamese Spring Roll (A-1), and the House Special Pho (P-7) are... More
