Everyone living in the area knows of this place and has been there. It's been around for a long time. My wife and I live near Coldspring, we are retired, and like to eat out often. There is not a large selection of restaurants in this part of the world. You need to go to Humble or Conroe to find... More

It can be a little hard to find if it's your first visit so just as a local....they all know it! I loooove this place! big big portions, delicious food, friendly staff, great service, great price! I have nothing bad to say about Florida's Kitchen! I even love the mismatched chairs and decor!!!

This place was recommended to us by a "local" when we asked about a good place to eat in Livingston. Livingston is NOT a big town and doesn't have all the chain restaurants. That is fine with me as I would rather eat fresh made meals. Seven of us went on Saturday evening of the Labor Day (2014) weekend. We... More

Great ribs! She has been the best cook in the county for the past 30+ years. Her mom, Dixie Lee Henderson held the title of best cook in the county before her. Hard to get in on a weekend night during tourist season for Lake Livingston.

Florida's Kitchen is must place to eat in Livingston. Can't go wrong. The food is great and get plenty. You will not leave hungry. The ribs are to die for. They are so juicy and good, you do not even need sauce, even though she serves a homemade sauce. The hamburgers are just like those old homemade hamburgers. Yum, Yum.... More

Florida's Kitchen is by far the best place to eat in Livingston. I had their ribs and were fabulous. Everything is made fresh. The cole slaw, beans, and french fries were also yummy. The fries were hand cut and fried to perfection. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Livingston.

If you like good old-fashion southern cooking, this is the place for you! Florida's has barbecue, chicken fried steak, and catfish (I had the barbecue stuffed baked potato). You should arrive hungry because the serving sizes are ENORMOUS! But somehow you need to save room for a piece of their homemade pie (I had the chocolate pie and my friend... More

The daily special of smoothed pork chops with salad and collards was delicious and well priced. The service is friendly and quick. The peach cobbler was excellent. Great down home cooking.
