Good Food; A LIttle Noisy

The food was quite good, but the restaurant was rather noisy. It was a busy night, though, so it was to be expected. The decor is very basic - nothing fancy at all. But if it's good food you want, this is a good place to go.

Ribs are always good here. Friday is fried chicken day. This is home cooked fried chicken at its best! Great service.

A co worker and I were working in the area and found this place on TA. We both had the ribs and were both disappointed. They were dried out and no taste. I loved the potato salad and the baked beans. I will give it another try but next time I will get the fried fish.

This little roadside spot is interesting, The sign outside says the "Home of the Comeback Ribs", and I will be coming back, The ribs were great, The coleslaw was bland and needs work. Fix that and you will get your fifth star! Great little out of the way, hole in the wall eatery.

what can I say that Texas Monthly and others on this site have not already said. This is down home food done right with wonderful ribs, great catfish and deserts that are a food group of their own.

We've had the ribs before and they were excellent moist and tender. We just had the pulled beef and.. damn that's a good sandwich. We were there late and the ribs were long gone as they do not cook a ton in the morning only to serve dried out ribs at night. Instead, the smoke the ribs 3-4 times a... More

Michelle has been my server during my 2 visits here and you could not find a more attentive server. Brought my entire family here for the ribs and every one of us was extremely happy with the food served. There is only one small problem - We all had to 'unbuckle our belts' when we left (smile).

I have always had a fondness for the food here. I grew up in the city. I went to school with the owners son and we ate here a lot. They have the best Ribs in town. People travel from all over the country to taste the ribs and fish. I miss the fried Catfish. We can't get good Fried... More

Recently visited Florida ' s with 3 other couples. We were all over the menu in our choices but all agreed everything was GREAT. Ribs were top notch. Fish just as good. Have never - ever seen a baked spud that big. Service was slow, never refilled drinks although we asked. Deserts were king size and delicious. Carrot cake to... More

The service was slow and unprofessional. Waiter asked for drink orders. Nothing came. A second waiter, not ours, asked if anyone took our orders and we repeated them. She brought them. We ordered their favorites -- ribs, chicken fried steak and catfish. The fish was sort of the chicken fingers of fish, not a catfish filet. The chicken fried steak... More
