Went there on a Saturday for lunch. the food was great, even though we only saw two people working the whole time we were there we got our food quickly.

We went here on a Tuesday night, it's a small hole in the wall with excellent food and service! There were only 2 waitresses for about 50 people....They were pretty impressive and did everything with a smile:) we got the chicken fajitas and the chicken and cheese quesadillas. We loved both of them! Excellent choices!! The chicken was SO tender... More

Simple small family restaurant with great Tex Mex food. Staff were friendly and service was excellent. It was much better than the chain restaurants found in the city.

We were hard pressed to find a restaurant open on a Monday afternoon. We both ordered the fajita plate. It came with the meat chopped and mixed with the onions on a regular plate with beans and rice as opposed to the skillet fajitas you typically see in a Mexican restaurant. The tortillas were good and seemed homemade.

My wife and I recently visited here during our most recent trip to Garner State Park. It is a small place that probably seats about 40 people. Once we sat down we were immediately served with chips, salsa, menu's and drink orders placed. They give you each your own personal salsa bowl and a small pitcher of salsa for the... More

It was the Tuesday after Memorial Day and Leakey was pretty much asleep. We defaulted here for dinner and the food was good. But no beer. Because the rest of the town was "closed" the place was fairly busy, but the service was good.

Every year we camp down on the Frio and every year we make a trip into Leakey to eat at Mama Chole's. Very local, family owned vibe- good traditional Mexican food and reasonable prices.

I've eaten here often and never felt disappointed. I've only eaten the cheese enchiladas and the carne guisada. I will go back.
