Authentic food and experience

Delicious food, authentic Mexican restaurant. Ample seating for larg dinner parties. Patio seating when outside temps are not 107 degrees. chips and homemade salsa start the meal. The chicken fajita plate was plentiful, couldn't finish. Homemade tortillas!

This place had the best Carne asada ever! conversation was difficult though thank to the mariachi band -- great if you want high energy ambiance, bad if you are trying to visit with family. Had to ask four times for water. Other than that, a great little place!

Came to laredo for a Volleyball game and needed a place to eat on Friday night that stayed open late. Excellent food - steak, enchiladas. The salsa was chink and flavorful. The wait staff was friendly and we were able to communicate. The best part were the homemade flour tortillas cooked for your order. We also enjoyed the soccer game... More

Was recommended by co workers so I thought I would give it try, and so glad I did. I had a beef fajita and it was the best fajita I had ever had, hands down, not even close. I had some sweet bread afterwards and came away stuffed, and best meal for your money.

My fave is breakfast. They give great portions for a good price. Excellent music and service. Love that you can see the ladies making the tortillas in the window.

In this restaurant you can expirience real mexican cusine, this is not tex mex, in this reastaurant you get the real deal, Carne Asada, with home made corn tortillas, the quality of the food is excellent, the only thing is expensive, but for the quality of the food and the enviorment of the place i think is worth to try... Love the mesquite flavored meats; that unique flavor synonymous with Texas blended with the dishes specific to La Carreta are something I never miss out on every time I visit Laredo. The service is EXCELLENT, and I am always made to feel like family when I visit. La Carreta has a great ambiance and feel to it, very clean and... More
