Recently discovered this off the beaten path lovely restaurant. On the spur of the moment my daughter and I had lunch here. Were we ever pleasantly surprised. Elegant, perfect music, black tablecloths and napkins.....but the food....daughter ordered the crabcake that came with steamed vegetables (yellow squash and zucchini thinly sliced with carrots) and a small mound of mashed potatoes, and... Veranda is an interesting place carved out of an old house. It's beer and wine only, and does not have a bar. The food was average, but it is one of the rare restaurants in the are that is not a chain.

very limited menu and it looks like a menu right out of the 80's but the quality was good and the atmosphere is great. Just need to increase the selection. With so many new upcoming places to try, you need to keep up with al least this century

First time there and it was a banquet with about 50 people. I was amazed at the quality of the food and service with such a big group. Everything was delicious!

Have been here multiple times and the service and food is consistently good. I enjoy the Chorizo Stuffed Quail and the Poached Pear Salad. My husband usually goes for the Strip steak or the Ribeye and I always enjoy getting to taste his too. The music is nice and the atmosphere is very intimate. This is the place we go... More

A year later, and the fillets got better. Fluffy, soft, tasty angus fillets that could be cut with a butter knife and came with seasoned red potatos and green beans. We wanted a bake potato, but we were pleasantly surprised with the sides included. I found a 25 dollar off coupon in the entertainment book making the meal price very... More

Visited with friends who live in Kingwood and we thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. It is in an enchanted location, really pretty. The hostess welcomed us and made us feel very welcome. Although it was midweek and the restaurant was quiet we enjoyed beautifully cooked food in a really lovely atmosphere. The music which was played quietly in the background,... More

As I drove up to the Veranda, my 1st impression was... A Bed & Breakfast from Vermont. Inside has a warm atmosphere with piano, warm romantic music and a friendly staff... Ray was my waiter... and the owner's husband. He filled the night with stories about music as both he and his wife will sit down and sing or their... More

No, I did not go back there. Once is one time too many. I read a few of the reviews since I went. I am glad to see others share my view, but feel sorry for their experiences. This place is an insult to Burger King, specially consider your expectation and the price tag.

It has the right idea, but the food is always a disappointment to me for the hefty price tag that they put on it. Service is good but that is about it. Ambience is nice but boring.
