We had friends who introduced us to this restaurant. Both of us purchased a coupon for use in January. They have a wonderful twist on some traditional foods such as Fire and Ice shrimp or the Diablo filet. The portions are a good size. The rolls are wonderful as well. I really liked the owners and the staff. A great... More

The Veranda, not only is the food consistently great, the service is knock-your-socks-off good. Family run and inspired dishes knock it out of the park for any occasion. With choices like steak Diablo, fire and ice shrimp, drunken quail, and chicken jubilee, you can't go wrong! Make sure to call ahead for reservations, they are often booked up and that... More

off the beaten path, this family owned and operated restaurant in Kingwood, TX has a cozy, home feeling atmosphere that is comfortable, business casual and easy going. Better than the great atmosphere, is the service and food. The chef and restaurant have received several awards for their dishes. Don't miss the Fire and Ice appetizer. I've had several of their... The Veranda has been a consistently good restaurant in Kingwood. They are honest and the food is great. The atmosphere is warm and not at all crowded like Cafe Dubois. You get a lot of food for the money. I would higly recommend eating there.

We really enjoy singing at Veranda. The setting is intimate, great food and wonderful service. The owners have created an enjoyable sink g experience. The wine list is good, and the chef does a great job.

We were in Kingwood visiting family and had eaten at all the normal "chain" style restaurants that abound in the area. On our final evening we were looking for something different. Quality food, a nice atmosphere and the ability to have a conversation. Well the Veranda meet all our needs, perfectly. I had the Filet and it was amazing. If... More

My husband and I enjoy the peaceful surroundings of The Veranda. The food is always delicious and the wait staff very attentive. Only drawback is the limited selection. If you like a quiet peaceful dinner with a lovely atmosphere then this is the place for you! I highly recommend The Veranda.

Recently discovered this off the beaten path lovely restaurant. On the spur of the moment my daughter and I had lunch here. Were we ever pleasantly surprised. Elegant, perfect music, black tablecloths and napkins.....but the food....daughter ordered the crabcake that came with steamed vegetables (yellow squash and zucchini thinly sliced with carrots) and a small mound of mashed potatoes, and... Veranda is an interesting place carved out of an old house. It's beer and wine only, and does not have a bar. The food was average, but it is one of the rare restaurants in the are that is not a chain.
