Just off the campus of Texas A&M - Kingsville and often frequented by college students this is the real deal when it comes to authentic Mexican food. I especially like the shrimp soup. Large menu to choose from and I have never been disappointed.

We ordered chalupas with rice and beans and one order could easily feed two. It was very good and at a reasonable price. The service was good as well.

The food is fairly authentic and very good. You sit down and when they get to it, give you amazing hot sauce, chips and a portion of beans. The food comes rather quickly and the portions are large. The only small downsides are: the service has a little to be desired, they don't seem to be too excited about being... More

This restaurant was actually in Ricardo so not 100% sure it is related. The breakfast was very good with HUGE portions. Lots of locals eating there before work. We highly recommend the omelets and beans! Tortillas came complimentary as well. Yummy!

Kingsville is not a town that you would otherwise pass unless you, like us, are heading down to port aransas or south padre islands. And to find such authentic Mexican food on Christmas Eve was truly a blessing. The place looks like any typical Mexican joint - loud colors, loud servers and ubiquitous mariachi music. But the similarities kinda end... More

Glad we stopped. We got what we expected and were pleased. Well visited by the locals. When in the area we will stop again.

This place was extremely busy when we arrived. The staff quickly cleared a table for us to sit and immediately brought over our piping hot coffee. We had a very traditional mexican breakfast of Barbacoa, eggs, beans and tortillas. The portions are very generous and everything tasted great. The restaurant itself is well appointed and clean. I've also had dinner... More

Very generous portions for a fair price. The quality of the food wasn't necessarily brilliant, but it was okay. Helpful, friendly staff who will serve you quickly. I stopped there because it was recommended by the staff at the King Ranch visitor centre.

I first found this place while working in Kingsville four five years ago. This place rocks, authentic Mexican food worth the drive or detour off the highway. I had the enjoyment of refreshing my memory of what Mexican food should taste like this past February. Just as good if not better than I remember. Small quaint, clean, and friendly restaurant.
