Unassuming exterior, but you can see the smoker out front doing its thing. Great place in town to grab some good food. I enjoyed the brisket, pulled pork, chopped beef, green beans, pinto beans, cole slaw, and mac & cheese. Check-in with the Yelp phone app to get a free tea or lemonade. Sample the sauces, but the food speaks... More

i was very dissappointed with my last 2 visits. yesterday was the kicker! i orderd the 2 meat plate and 2 pork sandwiches. the 2 meat consisted of 2 skimpy pieces of brisket " which were very dry " and 2 pieces of ribs that i had to peel the top layer off to get to some tender meat. the... More

I loved this place because it kept it's downhome personal identity with it's bar b que. Some places get too commercial and water down the recipe, not this place. It's very small, and it's not a place you go to for a business luncheon, but the bar b que is great with great sides to match.

Josh, Mike and the crew never let me down. This is one of the best BBQ joints I've ever been to and definitely one of the best restaurants in Killeen by far. Excellant food and amazing service! Beats RUDY'S and RYDE-OUT hands down. Keep up the good work fellas!

In Texas you have to be REALLY good to be really good. There aren't a lot of bar-b-que restaurants in the Killeen area, so it's easy to stand out. Most are mediocre. Pettys is probably better, but in my opinion not great. We had a Friday lunch there. The ribs were tender and the sausage was spicy, but they both... More

The BBQ is better than some of the so-called must-go Texas joints. The pork ribs pull off the bone with great smoke flavor. The brisket is moist and tender, and they do the best beef ribs I've ever had, although I think they only do them on Saturday. The sausage links are good, too. The sides I've tried are good,... More

We had some friends and family from California that wanted to try some good BBQ. After eating big portions of ribs, briskets, sausages, cheese mac, beans, and sides, we were extremely satisfied with the seasoning, texture, and the moistness of the meat. I have personally have eaten a lot of BBQ from Rudy's, Salt Lick, etc. but I personally love... More

Ever since I discovered this place, the other BBQ establishments in the Killeen area don't measure up. Yeah, the other guys have decent food. However, the other guys overprice their food and act as if it's the best BBQ ever. Petty's has some great tasting BBQ at reasonable prices. My ONLY complaint about Petty's: they are closed on Mondays.

A great place for authentic BBQ in Killeen; if you desire smokey rich flavored BBQ look no further. Petty's is always a great stop, it's worth calling ahead if you anticipate a crowd as there is only seating available for 3-4 families. Worth a stop if you're looking for a new BBQ place (as Texas offers many).

I had the #6, two meats (beef & pork), two sides (mac cheese & pintos), & corn bread (muffin). Cost just under $11 total. Take out order - brief wait on a Saturday around 4:30pm. The beef brisket was dry and VERY smoky- could not taste the meat or any sauce. Had to stop at a store to get a... More
