Nanny Goats in Kilgore, TX is closed and is now Star City Café. The Nanny Goats in Longview, TX is still open (to my knowledge).

Went to visit this place only to find it closed down in December 2013. Previously dined here after "Restaurant Impossible" attempted to give it a face lift but the food left much to be desired.

This place is great for lunch. I had the Rio Chicken sandwich and the chicken enchilada soup. The soup was a little spicy, but good. The sandwich was excellent. The atmosphere is intetesting and the service is good. Be warned the prices are a little high for soup and sandwiches.

Stopped in for lunch while working in Kilgore. The setup is awkward. You at a counter to the far left of the door, get your own drink, then take your own table. My table was kind of beside, behind a cooler. Great view! They scream your name when your order is ready. The restaurant is stuffy. No air moving whatsoever-... More

The one in Kilgore is by far the best. They opened a second in Longview, but it is not as good. Kilgore has best food and environment. Hopefully, they are working on getting the environment back like it was before the "designer" from the tv show came & ruined it. The atmosphere prior to the remodel was what drew you... More

The place looks really nice. Seems that it was recently renovated. The food however was just decent, but has the potential of being really good. It could have been just an off night but the food temps was a big issue for my wife and I. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer. It was good but it came with... More

Nanny Goat is a good go to place! Excellent for lunch or dinner. The freezer/cooler section has pre-made main dishes such as chicken spaghetti, which a great for freezing to have on hand for that busy day. Excellent selection of healthy snacks, salads, dips, pre made sandwiches...as a very busy person, so glad Nanny Goats is around! They also have... More

Simple Menu...good food. cute atmosphere. We like to support the locals and stay away from the chains. This place was very enjoyable to sit down and relax, get your sweet tea (beverage of choice around these parts second to beer) and order home cooked meals. The crab cakes were HUGE!
