Good value for money

While shopping in Kerrville recently, we stopped here for lunch and although the place was crowded, we were seated in about 15 minutes just as the maître d' said. We asked locals for some recommendations, and this was top of their list. I must say that the lunch portions were just right. I had the Salad Sandwich which was so tasty. It was light, refreshing, very fresh, in other words, just awesome! The waiter was excellent and I am so sorry that I do not remember what it is,... More

We were in Kerrville for one night and were very impressed with everything about this restaurant. Friendly, professional service, and a nice atmosphere. We had fried oysters for starters and they were fabulous. All of us chose the lime cilantro shrimp and rice with vegetables and it was wonderful. I agree with others that the dinner prices are pricey ($35... More

We were passing through town on our way to a weekend inthe Hill Country and decided to eat dinner in the historical district of town. We wandered into Francisco's. What a surprise! White tablecloths, a beautiful old building, bold art on the walls set the scene. The food was good, and the service flawless and very friendly. We enjoyed the... More

From the moment you walk into the door, you are made to feel welcome. The beautiful art work on the walls give it a gallery feel. The tables are covered with white cloths with matching white napkins. High dollar, right? No. The menu with its many choices are all reasonably priced. Everything is fresh and beautifully presented. The staff is... More

This is a place my wife really likes. Yesterday was my first visit. The location is in the old downtown area. The building is an old limestone rock building with wooden floors. Both elements create a nice atmosphere. The service was very good. The lunch menu is largely sandwiches, salads and soups. They also have daily specials. I opted for... More

I have eaten lunch at Francisco's MANY times and have never been disappointed. I love their chicken salad sandwiches, it is very light with a hint of sweet, probably the most flavorful chicken salad I have ever had. Their tortilla soup is quite tasty also. I usually eat outside, inside can be a little noisy. I have had dinner there... More

Friends hag frequently mentioned Francisco's and I always assumed it was the quaint cafe on the corner that had nice outdoor dining. Little did I know or expect such a good menu, wine selection and service. The fried oyster nachos and steak tampicano were awesome. My wife shared the ahi tuna with a friend and they were both satisfied. A... More

Francisco's is located in old town Kerrville. As a native of Kerrville, I can tell you that the location was called the Sport Shop when I was a kid back in the 60s. Never mind about that, suffice it to say that Francisco's is a wonderful place to have a nice dinner in a relaxed atmosphere.

My last visit to Grape Juice is my last. This time we re-visited Franciscos and were very pleased. Great wine selection and the salads, sandwiches, lunches were great. They didn't hesitate to accommodate any request, i.e., bread, chips, etc., unlike Grape Juice who charged for 4 small pieces of over toasted bread and grumbled when asked for butter. A little...
