Our favorite restaurant in Kerrville

We come three times a year to Kerrville and we always end up eating at Bonzai. My daughter has some sensitivity issues so we never do the hibachi side, but we peek through the glass every so often. My son ordered the fried shrimp appetizer which was great. He got hibachi chicken with a side of... read more

Bonzai never fails to satisfy. I usually start with a Sushi Roll and move on to a Hibachi Dinner. The rolls are always fresh and innovative. The dinners are cooked with precision and are consistently delicious. But my favorite part is the staff... they are friendly, knowledgeable, quick, and never fail to make me feel at home whenever I visit.... More

When this place first opened we were so excited! It was delicious. They sold it and it's not as good. It's sad they cut so many corners now and put in cheaper ingredients now.

Food is mediocre at best, and a little overpriced. The staff is friendly though. They also serve red bean ice cream for dessert, which is a plus.

Went there yesterday and had a lovely time watching our cook create a delicious chicken and rice entree. The sushi was also quite good. Prices on par with semi fancy but not rediculous restaurants and portions are generous.

We had the hibachi meal where the talents of the cook are displayed right before your eyes. Wow! What fun! Great food, really fresh and exciting. Highly recommended, especially for a special occasion.

Bonzai is a nice restaurant for Kerrville to have because it provides a Hibachi experience which is not often found in a small town. We have visited Bonzai on many occasions. The food is fairly tasty but the draw back is the slimy floors (possibly residue from the cooking). You truly slip going to some of the tables. The restaurant... More

Hibachi performance was entertaining and the kids loved it. A bit overpriced for flying shrimp and chicken but who cares when the kids are having fun.
