Excellent BBQ

I stopped here after finding Cal Bob's closed and I am really glad I did. I ordered ribs, brisket, and chicken to go. It was lean, tasty, and smoked to perfection. This past weekend some friends and I got together from several states for a meeting in Ingram. We went over to Bill's because it just looked delicious. Eighteen of us went through the line quickly, sampling the brisket, sausages, goat, pulled pork et cetera. These people at Bill's really know their stuff. My medium plate of brisket and pulled with... More

This is a small family run place. Their meat is the leanest and most flavorful. The sides complement the BBQ. Parking can be difficult at lunch time.

Very specific hours but if you can make it when they are open....it is worth the plan! Would enjoy it more if we did not have wait in line.

I'm not exactly a connosiuer of barbecue, but my family at there and everyone seemed happy. My brisket sandwich definitely had a lot of meat on it. I would certainly eat there again.

Bill's is, by a considerable margin, the best of the BBQ places in Kerrville, and at times, one of the best in the Hill Country, period. When they are spot on, the brisket is as good as almost any in Texas. Problem is, we've noticed a degree of inconsistency. It's never worse than 'very good', and we've certainly never experienced... Once I found the place, I knew I was at the right stop for lunch. The smell in the smoking area was outstanding. I had the combo plate with brisket and sausage. The sausage was good, but the brisket was outstanding. It was juicy moist and fall apart tender. The beans were also quite good. I talked with the pit... More

Tried all three BBQ places in town and Bills was the best. Nice people made you feel welcome in a down home way. Not as good as you will get in Austin or Lockhart but was much better than the other two places.

This is one of the small, hole-in-the wall BBQ joints you look for. I was very hopeful when I saw the multiple smokers outside and smelled the aroma of smoldering oak. I ordered the brisket, which was moist and tender. I was surprised that it didn't have more smoke flavor than it did, but it was still good. You help... More

Bill's is a regular stop for us - there's simply isn't a better BBQ joint in Kerr County - when it comes to high quality BBQ meats, service and value, Bill's is in a class all by itself. Tonight we ordered brisket, ribs and pulled-pork. All were cooked to perfection with a beautiful smoke flavor and all were still very... More
