Shrimp Po'Boy was excellent

Stopped in for an afternoon drink and snack. Ordered a doz. Oysters, a shrimp Po'Boy and a cup of clam chowder, All three were very good. The place is busy and service was a little slow. Prices are a tad on the high side but open air dining on the canal is nice.

While visiting Kemah, we reviewed all of the Landry's restaurants at the location and decided we would try The Flying Dutchman, since we had ate at most of the other restaurants. We made a great decision. It was a Wednesday evening and we were seated immediately in the patio area along the boardwalk next to the shipping channel. We started... More

The food was wonderful and the staff was very polite and very willing to make sure that the meal was cooked perfect. A table beside us received a steak that wasn't cooked to their liking and when she told her waiter he went and took the plate right then and there and the chef came and apologized and brought the... We stopped in as a family to eat lunch on a Sunday during Spring Break. Walking in it felt clean and relaxing. Our service was top notch, best I have received in a long time. We ordered the Shrimp Kisses as an appetizer ( we received a coupon from our hotel for a free appetizer) and they were AWESOME, I... More

Downstairs - outside on Galveston Bay - Fried Seafood. Oyster Po Boy. always crowded always good. Long-time resident have been coming here for decades. I do miss the upstairs original Flying Dutchman. Moved recently but frequently visit when I return.

$8 for a dozen oysters on the halfshell! Wow. A great way to start a meal. Then, seafood bisque in a bread bowl (really decadently heavy on the cream) then finished with pecan pie. So good... so, so good. Excellent service. I would definitely go back!

Very disappointing and expensive. How do you mess up fish and chips? Boiled Shrimp came out spiced up, covered in Louisiana hot sauce, not at all described on the menu. Extra Caesars salad ordered was tasteless and waterlogged! We won't be back to overpay for this mediocrity.

The service was fast efficient. Food quantity very generous and quality was good. They have outdoor seating but beware on the mosquitos in spring and summer. Also outside you may run into stray cats.

Waiters and waitresses are very responsive, professional and engaging. You know they are working hard because of the number of tables they are serving but they make you feel as though you are the only people in the restaurant. Great choices on the menu and large portions. Everything was very tasty.
