A Favorite

The stuffed jalapeños are famtastic, and also what i compare everyone else's stuffed jalapeños/jalapeño poppers to. The service is very friendly, and bathrooms are clean.

It's seaside so I assume the seafood is good! However, the burger, because I don't eat seafood, was the worst burger I've ever had! The bun was good, fries average and meat tasted like it had bad freezer burn a year past the date advised to serve humans! The service was good and the place was nice.

My wife and I stopped by the Flying Dutchman for lunch prior to an afternoon of sailing in Galveston Bay. We were close to the first customers of the day. We each started with a Bloody Mary; don't know what mix was used, but it needs work! The Oysters on Half Shell were small and tasted fishy, despite our server's... More

I want to prefice that our waiter was great and very nice and that the oysters we had were delicious. However, I ordered the Rainbow trout and it was BAD. My family and I sat out on the patio by the water and, when I took my first bite, I thought it smelled bad. I asked my husband to smell... More

A very busy place, high noise level. We visited as part of a large group (48), so we were advised to pre order, which we all did. However after sitting at our tables, they had printed menus for us and we had to order again. For the appetisers they brought out large platters for us to share, they were not... More

We ordered appetizers at this restaurant and hubby tried two kinds of oysters. He said they were the best he has ever had on the gulf coast !! the bacon wrapped shrimp were fantastic !! The outdoor patio is where we sat and people watched and watched the boats coming in and out of the inner coastal. Fantastic weather, fantastic... More

Our experience was okay. The manager tried to keep things going, but it appears they were short of staff. It really wasn't all that busy when we showed up. The food was good, and the portions were certainly adequate.

I have been to this restaurant several times and usually prefer it to other seafood restaurants on the boardwalk. It has a better variety than most too. It is good to sit outside when the weather is decent. It was still pretty hot out so we stayed inside. It is also a great spot to watch the Christmas boat parade... More

The service seems to be lacking. I think it is just how the resturant is made makes it difficult to manuver around for them. But other than that, if your a foodie like me check out the menu. .it's full of goodies you can stuff yourself and then get one if those mopeds to drive your self around in. Good... More
