I eat here about 2 times a week in crawfish season because from 2-6 pm daily u can get crawfish for $4.99/lb. I eat 2 lbs along with their mushrooms which r amazing and the corn. With water and tip my check is $14. If I add in a beer it is $17. Staff outside is attentive and very friendly.

Visiting the area and this restaurant was recommended. The place had an interesting look to it so we went inside. Looked at the menu and the first thing I saw was "Coon Balls." "Coon" is a term that is seriously derogatory and offensive to Blacks/African Americans. It is an old world term associated with lynching and the cutting of a... More

We went on Friday night, and it was packed. We had the crab sampler and crawfish, and everything was delicious. The tap beer was flat, but drinkable. The live entertainment was fantastic. We ate and drank like kings for about $80. The only real issue we had was with the person running the gift shop. She was clueless and would... More

Went on Sunday afternoon (3pm), and the place was "swamped". Waited 15 min for a table. Good music. Good vibe. Jalapeño poppers good. Smoked oysters good. Bacon wrapped shrimp with BBQ sauce average but with terribly mushy veggies. Deep fried pickles in a soggy pool of oil. Service friendly. Great location. Food not worth returning for.

We've been to the swamp shack off of I-10 and loved it. They had great seasoning and the food tasted great. But when we visited the Kemah swamp shack we got something for totally different. The service was decent. There was some confusion about the price but they fixed the problem right away. The problem was the food. The shrimp,... More

This was my first visit to the Swamp Shack as we were celebrating the Captain's birthday after we finished sailing. I got the lobster and it was definitely tasty. The corn and the potatoes were fresh and served hot. I also had an order of french fries - it was a huge portion which were served tasty and golden brown.... More
