This was my first visit to the Swamp Shack as we were celebrating the Captain's birthday after we finished sailing. I got the lobster and it was definitely tasty. The corn and the potatoes were fresh and served hot. I also had an order of french fries - it was a huge portion which were served tasty and golden brown.... More

We stopped in the afternoon for a drink and lunch. Food was pretty good at lunch but nothing exceptional. Service was good. We came back that evening for dinner and they had great live music and we had both offerings of their Etouffee' and it was awesome! enjoyed the outdoor seating and our server had a great personality. We will... More

This place has a fun atmosphere and great food. We ate outside and enjoyed their live music. There were four of us, we all tried something different, and it was all good. My favorite was the fried oysters - so yummy! The service was great and they were very accommodating to a member of our party with mobility issues. I'd... More

This is a really cool place with a great atmosphere. We ate outdoors. Listened to live music. The food was delicious and a reasonable price. I had the blackened seafood platter and hubby had the all you can eat fried fish and shrimp. The whole staff was very friendly and welcoming. We'll be back again!!!

With some great fresh and friend seafood options and large community tables, this is a family friendly restaurant that has a menu large enough to please all different taste buds. Two people in our party got the special which started with a cup of chicken & sausage gumbo and a small side salad, then a large basket of fried shrimp,... More

We had dinner here with our friends after a long day at the Tough Mudder Houston event. We ordered shrimps, blue crabs, oysters and wings which were delicious. Unfortunately, a group of who seem to be drunk people came sit at the table right next to us. They were very loud and decided to turned off the heater by themselves... More

The drinks are refreshing but par for the area. The oysters are the reason to go here. The ponchetrain oysters we tried are excellent. We didn't have time to try ask the oysters but these are just different. The outdoor patio and music made they place relaxing.

There are very few places that offer oysters on the half shell and alligator on the same menu, but Alan's Swamp shack is one that does. The adult beverages are reasonably priced, the food is well prepared and the service is excellent. Don't expect "atmosphere" unless you are accustomed to the Gulf coast rustic.

Headed to the Boardwalk and decided to try Crazy Alan's based on the reviews. We had great service and awesome food. Appetizers - crab stuffed shrimp was more like a dip but delicious. Smoked oysters with parmesan and shrimp. Decided to try something unusual so I went for the Enchiladas of the Sea and was not disappointed. The chipotle cream... More

We had raw oysters, grilled shrimp, fried shrimp, steamed vegetables, fried onion rings, and French fries. It was all very tasty. I even posted a pick on FB which I don't usually post pics of my food. We will eat there again.
