Good Food And Service

Went here with 4 adults and a 2 yr. old. We were quickly seated, and our drink order taken. Our food order was taken when the server brought our beverages. The food was quickly delivered to our table. All of the food was hot, and was tasty. Great place for a small get together over Mexican... read more

I rate every Mexican restaurant on three categories: the food, the chips/salsa, and the margaritas. Most restaurants do well in one or two categories but rarely in all three. This place was the exception. It got my top score in all three categories. In addition, the service was great and the atmosphere was fun, much more interesting than the tacky... More

Simple the BEST Mexican restaurant in Katy. Period. Don't bother going to the other Los Cucos at Katy Mills. Their service is snooty and slow, food not as good. This Los Cucos in Old Katy is worth the trip. Located in an old shopping strip, although it may not be glamorous don't let it fool you.

Returned to this restaurant and found that it is being eclipsed by several new Tex-mex eateries. Lack of atmosphere except for Friday's when they have Mariachis.

Went to Los Cucos for dinner while in Houston. Service is very hit and miss. Had to all for water refills several times, but was repeatedly asked if I wanted another beer. Food was actually pretty good. I had a carnitas plate which was uniformly good.

The food was better in "the old days". Maybe they have a new chef or new management, but for whatever reason, the food was not very good compared to what I remember from a few years ago. The margaritas were a bit weak also. And finally, the mariachi band was too loud to have a conversation and they played for... More

We enjoy Los Cucos because it offers a consistent value for the $$. Seems very authentic Mexican food. And the atmosphere is very festive. Good Service.

This place has a good many customers at 3:30 in the afternoon, and I'm not surprised. It offers the usual Tex-Mex standards, plus an extensive array of grilled meat and exotica like deep-fried avocado, and everything the four of us ordered was very good indeed. The portions are huge, but we finished them all -- it was hard not to,... More
