So Wonderfully Not Tex Mex

We had dinner here again last night and not only were the margaritas good the food was so different than our typical Houston mexican restaurants. We love El Tiempo, but this menu had things i have never seen. We had the mango salsa fish crepes which were sweet and spicy at the same time - just... read more

The owner and chef at this place creates amazing dishes and it seems very Mexico authentic - not your typical Tex-Mex in Katy. We went to this restaurant when it use to be on I-10 but love that it's closer to us. Order the Meltdown, Sarape de Pollo, and Queso. You'll leave very satisfied!

Mexican restaurant with a fine setting offering a wide variety of mexican specialties. Great food and service, but a little overpriced for what is offered.

I enjoyed the beautiful weather and lunch outside in the patio. They have some delicious fajitas that are worth checking out. I do think the service can use a little attention.

Went here for lunch. Was less than impressed with the food and service. It tasted very generic and plain. I mean I get that we are in Katy (just being honest) but I don't like to pay for food that I can just make myself with canned foods bought from the grocery store. It didn't have that handmade authentic taste.... More

This place has quickly become a regular Friday night spot for my wife and I. We have eaten here a few times for dinner. The staff is very friendly. The food is good. Not the best mexican food I have ever eaten but still pretty good. The chips are always fresh and the salsa is tasty. This place does get... More

Been to this restaurant once before and the food was very mediocre. We gave a try once more and it a worse experience than before: 1) Service is very slow. Our waiter was very friendly but they do not have enough staff, probably to cut cost in an expense area. 2) 15 mins to get a water, longer to get... More

Many in my family have been to Mexico City, and they say that the food at Las AlAmedas reminds them of the wonderful Restaurant Prendes, with fresh fish and meat dishes with exotic flavors. Not a fajita or taco place. Great for groups and families.

Had a great time and and giving it a four star review for location margaritas and all the loughs we had with my wife and a group of friends. The food could use a makeover, the quality of the location and the decor really nice but the food does not justify the price you pay they really need to work... More

Nice location. They got everything right other than food and drinks. I got their speciality dish for which they charge $23. It was not good at all. Lot of rice and no seafood. I had to dog thorough to find what they have in it. Big rip off. They need to find a new bartender. Horrible Margarita from a Mexican... More
