Went back after about a year. Sunday brunch. The place is as beautiful as always and the service is wonderful. Unfortunately, the food is just so so, not horrible just average. Ordered the montulenos, this dish is usually served with ham steak, my plate arrived with a few pieces of tiny diced ham. Rather bland. Most everybody's food was warm,... More

Went there for our 33rd anniversary. Ordered two different snapper entrees, and both were the best we've had since Cozumel last month. Amazing thing happened when we were done with dinner and the waiter brought our celebratory Tres Leches cake, he also brought one to the table next to ours. Seems like they were having their 33rd anniversary as well.... More

Have visited Las Alamedas many times and always have found the staff to be friendly and attentive (or not if you want to relax prior to your meal)!

I have to say, when I came here, I had my hopes up. Once My wife and I got here, we were impressed by the place. It was clean, and very welcoming. We sit down and order a couple of drinks, and order our food. The drinks were good, but once the food got to us, I was disappointed. The... More

Just came back from Lunch. I not really a fussy eater BUT. It was the worst Tortilla soup I have ever had. Just basic broth full of small squares of tortillas. One piece of chicken. No corn, peppers, cheese or anything else. Tasteless. The Ceviche was just drowning in vinegar. The fish was fine but my friend could not eat... More

Mexican food in stylish settings, and not as expensive as it looks. Very tasty, and well presented. Personally, I prefer a less formal setting (for any kind of kitchen), but anyway. Recommended.

Went for Friday lunch. It was excellent. The staff, the food, the restaurant were all outstanding. The chips were fresh and hot! So good. So much better than our last visit over a year ago.

I ordered the snapper and it was excellent. the only disappointment was the margarita. Are you listening!! I ordered a margarita on the rocks and my hubbie ordered a frozen one. both were lousy. We ordered beers instead. Please improve your mix! Mexican restaurants are usually know for their margaritas!

When we are looking for a finer dining night out in Katy, Las Alamedas is on our list. There are many good Mexican spots, but this is a notch above. They go a great job with fish dishes. Margaritas are so good. Don't order frozen.

I like that the food is consistently fresh, the salsa is yummy, and the service is impeccable. By far the best place for a nice meal in Katy.
