Took our family here because our son likes their cakes. Floor was dirty, chairs & tables like beat up rental type. Basically a large metal garage atmosphere. Lunch time but not very busy. We ordered Philly cheesesteak which had very little "steak"; Cajun philly, which was a mystery with chicken breast & sliced sausage (?). Onion rings were huge but... More

Not my best dining experience, after being seated we waited for five minutes with no service, I ask the greeter if we could get someone to help us, it still took a good three minutes before anyone showed up, and the place WAS NOT packed. Once we received our food we never had anyone ask if we needed anything or... More

While on vacation in the Dallas/Fort Worth area we stopped by the Lonesome Spur Café in Justin, TX for breakfast. It is a little out of the way, in a small town with a western feel. The Café looks rough on the outside and has a rough, western, decor that is a little “dusty” looking on the inside. It is... More

Down home, southern hospitality with great chicken fried chicken and a surprisingly good Monti Christo. Looks like a good breakfast but I have not had it....yet.

When you make your gravy from a pre mixed package it not homemade. Very diappointed in the food overcooked eggs, pancakes , and under cooked hash browns to the point of being raw. The entire area needs cleaning stains ever where cob webs in the corners and dead flys on the window seals. I wouldnt be surprized that people have'nt... More

Extremely interesting place in an equally interesting town. I think the building used to be a new car dealership. Just a simple trip to the restroom is interesting. But the food, everyone at our table had the Chicken Fried Steak or the Chicken Fried Chicken. With one exception, everyone was delighted with the meal. One of the party was a... More

Operating in a building that looks like it might have been a repair shop or gas station, this place is fun and the food superior to the normal mom and pop place. We did breakfast here and drove a fair distance to check it out after a desk clerk's suggestion. Besides, the town is fun with antique shops etc. not... More

I tried the fried BLT which is awesome! Bacon is battered like chicken fry. It was light and crisp. Onion rings are fresh cut and hand battered and really good! You must try this place.

The food at the Lonesome Spur never disappoints. The portions are BIG and the prices are VERY reasonable. All the waitresses and staff are very friendly and attentive. Very good selections on the weekday breakfast and lunch specials. Great value!!
