I tried the fried BLT which is awesome! Bacon is battered like chicken fry. It was light and crisp. Onion rings are fresh cut and hand battered and really good! You must try this place.

The food at the Lonesome Spur never disappoints. The portions are BIG and the prices are VERY reasonable. All the waitresses and staff are very friendly and attentive. Very good selections on the weekday breakfast and lunch specials. Great value!!

This was our second attempt at this place but sadly with the same results. The service has the mentality of "take the order, drop the food, and disappear". While the place has charm there is no hospitality to be found in the waitstaff. The food is mediocre. The bacon had the consistency of beef jerky, the pancakes were burned, and... More

My family moved to Justin last year and it took us a while to give it a try, but, Oh, Boy! when we did, we loved it. Good home cooking! The chicken fried chicken and steak are superior to a lot of the chain restaurants in Fort Worth or Dallas. They have a bowl of pintos and cornbread, that if... More

I was working on location when a member of the crew suggested this place. I think the best thing about being away from larger cities is finding places like this. Sometimes you strike out and other times you hit a home run. This place was a HOME RUN by all standards. A very popular lunch cafe but still our larger... More

This place is okay for home cooking. They do make it all fresh and the rolls are awesome.

Lonesome Spur serves breakfast and lunch everyday and dinner on Friday nights. They have specials for all meals every day that are good values. Their meatloaf is always good. Salad is nothing special, but the lettuce is always fresh. Breakfast is always good, with standard fare. Wait staff is consistently friendly and helpful. Chicken fried steak is also usually good.
