We stopped here because it was an easy on/off from I 10. We had the brisket, ribs, and brisket sandwich. No rave reviews here. The brisket was dry and the ribs seemed to be bland. The original sauce is a vinegar based sauce and very runny/watery, pretty much only providing a vinegar taste rather than the BBQ taste you would... More

Had to try BBQ from the original Coopers. Clean restaurant, friendly wait staff with a full assortment of BBQ meats. This Coopers is nothing like the one in New Braunfels...not better but different. And, they pride themselves about being different calling other Coopers a franchise operation. All in all, good food, reasonable prices and a good experience.

The "brisket" was nothing but roast beef that had been under a heating lamp for who knows how long. The sauce was a greasy, runny red colored liquid. BUT the turkey was moist, not much of a smoky flavor but good.

We ate here on advice from hotel staff. It was fine. Nothing special, briquet was dry and ribs were ok. Try somewhere else,

I stopped at Cooper's BBQ on my way to Alpine. The place is rather bare and full of stuffed animals along the walls. The portions are pretty large and the food is ok. Bare to the bone but good. Cobbler is also good (I had the blueberry with ice cream) but it is a pity they serve it in a... More

Stopped at this place on way to El Paso for business. You can see the smokers and wood so you think they might know what there doing. Wrong! Weak BBQ... Worst BBQ sauce I have had. Very watery and tomato tasting. But cobbler with soft serve was very good. Go somewhere else and then go for cobbler here for desert.

Stopped while traveling West on I10 to El Paso. The food was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. But the prices at Cooper's are outrageous. We didn't buy plates (nothing less than 13.95) and beverages were ridiculously pricey. Two people eating with no drinks or sides equals a $30.05 tab. If that was lunch for three then... More

I was very disappointed with the brisket. Dry and not very flavorful. Go on the other side of I10' better place.

The food is horrible. The atmosphere is great. Convenient location just off the interstate. The food is absolutely horrible. If you want good BBQ while you are in Junction, then go to Lum's!!!

Born and raised Texan here...second time I have gone to Cooper's. First time was bloody awful. Second time many years later...still bad. The sausage was pretty gross...pork ribs were bad, and the brisket was not even "ok". The sides were DISGUSTING! Worst cole slaw I have ever had, and the potato salad was crap, too.
