Not the same cooper's BBQ that is in Llano

We frequently travel to the Cooper's old-time pit BBQ in Llano, TX and Fort Worth,TX. My favorite BBQ in the state. This is not the same restaurant. I did not eat here so I don't want to say anything negative about them, just pointing out this is a different group. The locals will point you to... read more

Brisket was so dry the sauce didn't even help it! What a disappointment. Sad to say our brisket and BBQ sauce had no flavor what so ever. The blackberry cobbler and ice cream was the saving grace for this meal! So if you still stop here after this review only order the cobbler and ice cream and keep on traveling... More

They must be hurting because the Pilot is taking their business. They nickel and dime you - trying to push the BBQ plate. Buy the meat and two sides instead because if you get the plate they charge you an extra $3.02. They try to push everything and charge $0.49 for tap water. If you question why you have to... More

I stop every time I'm in the area. Weather I'm eating in or taking home to my family. I was not a meat lover till I tried Coopers :-)

Very nice people actually smiling. Cobbler was delicious. I liked the idea that this place has been in business for years. Had photos of the original building when they started.just a very cool place to go.

Stopping to get gas off I1-10, I watched the smoke billowing out of the smoker next door. Lucky for me, that's when I got a whiff of sheer heaven. Not only did I smell mesquite and sauce, there was the aroma of freshly baked pie. You can bet that I drove right over that after I filled up. I ordered... More

Good BBQ place to eat. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. One of the highest BBQ places to eat in Texas.

Stopped here for lunch as we traveled west on I-10. I thought it was good bbq and the owners made us feel like we were kinfolk. Their sauce has a tad more vinegar than some might be use to, but both styles were good. I am use to SC BBQ and we like vinegar sauces. Beans and cole slaw were... More

Cooper's has certainly lost its BBQ edge, and unfortunately gained a bit of an attitude. It was 10:45AM on the day after Xmas, when our 9 scouts and adults visit Cooper's. When one of our scouts, and experienced 'Q man, asked for burned tips, the counterman gave him the stink eye and didn't deliver on the goods. They charge for... More

Great rib place, very taste even without needing bbk sauce, we really enjoyed our food, the only thing bad that is a place far away from San Antonio.
