You'd think the service would make up for the pedestrian food

Cooper's has certainly lost its BBQ edge, and unfortunately gained a bit of an attitude. It was 10:45AM on the day after Xmas, when our 9 scouts and adults visit Cooper's. When one of our scouts, and experienced 'Q man, asked for burned tips, the counterman gave him the stink eye and didn't... read more

Stopped here for lunch as we traveled west on I-10. I thought it was good bbq and the owners made us feel like we were kinfolk. Their sauce has a tad more vinegar than some might be use to, but both styles were good. I am use to SC BBQ and we like vinegar sauces. Beans and cole slaw were... More

Great rib place, very taste even without needing bbk sauce, we really enjoyed our food, the only thing bad that is a place far away from San Antonio.

Don't confuse this Cooper's BBQ with the one in Llano, TX! The two don't even begin to compare. If you think you're going to get the same quality and delicious Q in Junction as they have in Llano - forget it! Very pricey! And not even that great. Will never go back and will never recommended it to anyone unless... More

We stopped in at the Copper's BBQ in Junction, TX on a recent road trip. They are located right off the highway so it is a convenient place to stop without having to travel very far off the highway. I had the chopped BBQ sandwich which I really liked. Chopped fine with good sauce. The brisket was a bit dry... More

When I saw the heat lamps in the "meat museum" I should have taken the hint and gone somewhere else. The brisket was dry, but reasonable in flavour. The turkey breast had the consistency of a pink pencil eraser. Neither meat was particularly warm. I got a nice clot of gristle as a bonus. Lucky me. Prices are quite high.... More

Let's start with the chopped BBQ sandwich. It was horrible, the meat was finely chopped and premixed with sauce sitting on the heat table. The guy scooped it up with a ice cream scoop and put it on the bun. It looked and tasted like frozen bbq from a can. Two guys with me had sausage sandwiches and they said... More

We stopped here because it was an easy on/off from I 10. We had the brisket, ribs, and brisket sandwich. No rave reviews here. The brisket was dry and the ribs seemed to be bland. The original sauce is a vinegar based sauce and very runny/watery, pretty much only providing a vinegar taste rather than the BBQ taste you would... More
