On Friday nights they have Karaoke, on Saturdays live music! The food was great, we were actually pleasantly surprised. They do charge cover on Saturday nights so be prepared for that. It is very bike friendly and the town itself is a great place with many things to see. I had the nachos, they were really good. The atmosphere is... More

We visited Auntie Skinner's Riiverboat Club. It is a bar, but the food served is excellent. My wife said the quesadilla was the best she had ever eaten. I got the chicken fried steak and it was good, not overly large. The baked potato which I ordered was below average--overcooked or kept too long. We went on Friday night and... More

Skinner’s is an institution. Great weekend entertainment and awesome bar food. The Dive Bar burger is the best burger I’ve ever had. The service is most of the time top notch, but if it’s super busy be prepared to wait. Open every night of the week and a great spot for anything from sandwiches to full homestyle dinners.

Had catfish and shrimp . Good selection of drinks great atomosphere the building was built in 1866 I believe it was. All the historic homes are a couple of blocks away. We didn't this time but have stayed in the captains castle and carriage inn before and would go back in a minute the stay was great

Group of 6 left due to Bad Service. Waitress insisted that our hamburgers come well done. Otherwise we had to sign a disclaimer in the case their meat makes us sick. ??? We weren't requesting rare. When we made the decision to eat somewhere else, the people in the kitchen started to laugh. Not impressed. A food establishment really should... More

I was pleased with the food. Chicken strip were good and my salad was fresh and crisp. The rolls maybe the best I have had. Only negatives were the smoking and the fact the waitress would never. Shut. Up. Talked 100 miles an hour the whole time and the cook had to bring our food out, since she was to... More

We were in here for dinner on 4/16. The service was poor. We waited for 30 minutes for our food before we asked our waitress about our order. Ten minutes later our food arrived...COLD. There were eight of us in our party. The owner gave us a 10% discount off the meal. Will NEVER return here again.

This is not a non smoking restaurant and immediately knew that I would dislike this. Waitress was new and could answer not questions about the food. Kept saying "today is my first day" French Fries looked and tasted like they had been fried in old grease. More of a beer drinking place.

A recent lunch with friends was consistent with our last visit to Auntie Skinner's, which was months ago; fun atmosphere, good service, and good food. I may need to expand my horizons in Jefferson, but it's difficult to pass on this restaurant, to plunge into the unknown.
