I can't really give this restaurant a knowledgable review about the food, because once we stepped inside, there was a haze of cigarette smoke. We tried going to the back because the bar is up front, to see if there was less of a haze back there, but not such luck. So we turned around and left. A shame, because... More

The locals even love Auntie Skinner's. Everyone is low key, good music coming from the jute box, friendly staff, and the food is good! We had fried catfish.

Kind of a biker bar with American food. When we visited, business was slow. We sat at the bar for dinner because no one even asked if we would like a table. The service was average and the food was OK; nothing special. A good place to stop in for a beer, but nothing special.

Auntie Skinner's is a classic old bar with a menu that's actually pretty interesting and the food, once delivered to the table, is pretty good. However ... if you are not OK with overwhelming cigarette smoke and the corresponding smell that permeates the entire restaurant, best to go some place else. (Unfortunately, no non-smoking section.) Like having an ash tray... More

We thoroughly enjoyed not just the delicious food, but also the great atmosphere! Built in 1866, this used to be a warehouse used for steamboats, since the 1980's it's been used as this restaurant. The walls and ceiling are original and some of the artifacts and photos hanging around are amazing from a historical perspective! As for food, I ordered... More

Beers and nachos while watching the end of the Cowboys game were great! The bartender was funny, and entertaining. Food was okay, but next time we'll get the muffuletta!

Great food and service. We look forward to visiting Auntie Skinner's again and enjoying the best Po'Boy Shrimp sandwich I've ever eaten.

Been several times. On this occasion it was just to sample a burger and fries. Seemed as if the wait staff were flipping a coin to wait on us. But eventually they did. The food was pretty good, and the fries were crisp. It is a bar as well and on the weekends they have assorted live entertainment.

Went to jefferson tx on my birthday weekend. Auntie Skinners was the perfect place to celebrate. We stopped in for a beer and sandwich our first day in town, then went back at night when they had a live band. The food and service was great both times, yet this historical building takes you back in time. Highly recommended.
