We went before and it wasn't the same. The dollar bills that once covered the walls were gone, my kids were so excited to finally see it in person and they were disappointed when we arrived and they were all gone. The fried pickles were okay. I don't like it when I have to order fries in addition to my... More

We ate at the Hamburger Store after checking in at the Excelsior House since it was raining and we were hungry. Our server was friendly and attentive but food was slow arriving from the kitchen. My grandson and I both had a patty melt that was extremely dry, tasteless with very little cheese and grilled onions! Burger was large, but... More

First of all, my rating is based on the meal itself. If you go on a Saturday.. prepare for a very long wait. I have only been on a Saturday, so I can't say how service is on any other days. It's a busy restaurant and it seemed that everyone around us was waiting for their meals (both visits) but,... More

I had a chef salad, but my wife had a burger that she enjoyed. Their location is on the west end of the historic Austin Street in Jefferson TX.

If you want a good simple hamburger this is the place. Have not gotten anything but great food. My daughter loves it. Newly redecorated and so cool.

We went into the Hamburger Store and I picked up the To Go Menu at the front register. The place was not busy despite both the Big Cypress Corvette Show and Bike Rally going on, but it wasn't quite noon. Three waitresses stood talking and I asked them if I could please place a To Go Order. Again, I want... More

The service was good. The food was great and was decently priced. Worth checking out when going out to Jefferson!

Takes way to long for food. Had to leave as they never brought our food. Bought tea & salad then never came back even tho or waitress passed our table lots.

Pretty standard fare. They brag about their pies. Well o.k. at best . Selection on this Saturday was pretty lite. Meringues were past their time. Wait staff were pretty good, but lacked information about the community.

The town of Jefferson in Texas is filled with many historical buildings. Unfortunately, the town is struggling to keep above water. There is no real industry to keep anyone employed. The food was good and the price reasonable. The place is decorated with old auto related items - license plates, billboards, a large mac truck grill, etc. The ceiling is... More
