Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the bistro and had a fabulous dinner. If you like a little kick to your meal, I highly recommend the rooster skin dish - it was incredible. The vegetable eggplant lasagna was full of great flavor and was also a winner. Didn't think they could top these two, but they did when we had... More

We had a late lunch here. All of us had some variety of soup and sandwiches. The sandwiches were fresh and the sweet potato bisque was great!

The service was friendly and welcoming as we entered into this elegant shabby chic setting of linen table cloth covered tables topped with fresh flowers. The aroma of freshly baked bread made us salivate immediately! I ordered hot and tasty mushroom soup with a tuna sandwich of freshly baked bread but the menu was diverse with oh so much more.... My husband and I recently went there for our anniversary dinner. The place is simply cute. Our waitress was pleasant and gave us dinner recommendations. I had the pecan topped salmon and my husband had the mardi gras sandwich. His sandwich was really good, lots of tasty things going on in it for sure. My salmon was good until... the... More

Walked by many times and never tried eating there. We are glad we did this time around. We were in town for a football game and visited the General store next door. We then decided to try out this place to eat. We were there during a slow time and service was excellent. We tried out the smothered pork chops... More

The Bistro was recommended by the owner of the B&B we stayed at, and we were not disappointed. Many of the small town Texas restaurants offer staples of fried foods, burgers, steaks, and the Bistro is a diamond in the rough. It is small enough to be comfortable, and has a front that opens out to the street. My wife... More

WOW! I am a very picky eater. I expect excellence from the food establishments I visit. We were recommended to visit Austin Street Bistro. Honestly, it was some of the best food I have ever had. Not only was each dish personally and individually prepared by the outstanding chef, our server was so sweet and nice and worked really hard... More

Didn't eat only went for a couple of drinks. Bloody Mary was so good! Priced reasonably too. Good atmosphere.

Perfect for lunch or a quick stop, this bistro features the finest breads with soups, sandwiches, shrimp, salmon, and delectable desserts. We especially enjoyed the trio salad and special brownies. Though the website shows closed doors, they open to reveal a true sidewalk cafe. A just.

I went here for lunch. The food was delicious, the service was great, the decor is wonderful. They have tables with tablecloths, or you can sit at the bar. Places like this put Jefferson on the map.
