First of all, the food here was great. Everything is homemade, and the chicken salad sandwiches and tomato basil soup are wonderful. All the other friends in my group loved their meal as well. The problem is, it took an extremely long time to get served and we were in a bit of a hurry to get back home. So,... More

The atmosphere, and food is remarkable. It is pretty and comfortable and they play great music. The food is very delicious. The menu is quite varied. The food comes out hot and is so fresh.

My daughter and I were in Jefferson for a girls trip the week before Christmas, dropped into Austin St Bistro for dinner. Greeted by a friendly face (actually two as one young lady was brand new and learning the ropes) we sat down in the dining area and order two of the recommended dishes -- pecan topped salmon and smothered... The holidays are a busy time in Jefferson. We expected to maybe have to wait for seating at a nicer restaurant or to have to wait a bit for food. We expected things to be crowded. What we didn't expect was to sit there for fifteen minutes with zero acknowledgement. When we arrived, a server told us to sit anywhere.... More

Very good food and service. We had a sandwich and tomatoe basil soup. It was very tasty. The service is awesome (our server was Cane). I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a good meal!!

A very small restaurant, seats approximately 40 people, in cramped space. Had a young kid wait on us and didn't seem to know what he was doing. I had a sandwich and my Wife had the Tilapia. Food was good. Had a group of 4 ladies come in and sit behind us. No One even waited on them and after... More

A quaint bistro at in downtown Jefferson, Tx offering a variety of entrees and sandwiches. The pasta was delicious and the chicken salad sandwich superb. Prices are fair and the staff was delightful.

Dropped by last night after the Rail of lights trip was a bust. Austin Street Bistro saved the night. Great food. Just be prepared to wait a little while, but the reward is great!!!

This little place was recommended during our recent stay in Jefferson. We went for an early dinner and found the menu to be very diverse and interesting. Although one of the specials was already gone, we were pleased with two of the other available options and dessert. We had been told that everything here is home made, and that seemed... More

Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the bistro and had a fabulous dinner. If you like a little kick to your meal, I highly recommend the rooster skin dish - it was incredible. The vegetable eggplant lasagna was full of great flavor and was also a winner. Didn't think they could top these two, but they did when we had... More
