We were pleasantly surprised when we found this place. They were able to seat our party of 11 immediately and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. They have this maple soaked bread that is TO DIE FOR, so definitely worth checking out if you make it to Jefferson.

We ate dinner here with a large group. The service was great and the food was very good, although I thought it was over priced. They make their own bread, which is awesome. I think next time we would try it for lunch as maybe that menu is more reasonably priced.

This quaint restaurant, located in the heart of a very historic small town, known for the many antique shops, is a reflection of Jefferson's past. However, the food is anything but quaint. We were there at lunch and the owner, Gena, greeted us warmly. Several of us ordered the "Mardigra sandwich and split it since it was so huge. I... More

In Jefferson on business -delighted to find the Bistro! Great food and friendly staff. Atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. Open with a great street view- truly charming! Enjoyed both lunch and dinner here- both were excellent!

Take some time and try to save room for dessert! California/European cuisine and great baked goods. The staff is well trained and service is good.

First of all, the food here was great. Everything is homemade, and the chicken salad sandwiches and tomato basil soup are wonderful. All the other friends in my group loved their meal as well. The problem is, it took an extremely long time to get served and we were in a bit of a hurry to get back home. So,... More

My daughter and I were in Jefferson for a girls trip the week before Christmas, dropped into Austin St Bistro for dinner. Greeted by a friendly face (actually two as one young lady was brand new and learning the ropes) we sat down in the dining area and order two of the recommended dishes -- pecan topped salmon and smothered... The holidays are a busy time in Jefferson. We expected to maybe have to wait for seating at a nicer restaurant or to have to wait a bit for food. We expected things to be crowded. What we didn't expect was to sit there for fifteen minutes with zero acknowledgement. When we arrived, a server told us to sit anywhere.... More
