Good Food

Food was great, but I think for their Fajates, they use bagged chicken and not made like other places.

They have excellent Mexican food. The hostess and wait staff are very friendly. Would recommend if you want good Mexican food and just not fast food style.

After reading all the great reviews we decided to try Don Juan's on our visit to Marshall. Bad mistake!! Food not so good, service not so good. Waitress seemed anxious to get us out of there even though they were not busy. Brought us our ticket without asking if we would like anything else.....we were going to order sopopillias but... More

Food is good, not gourmet. Service is friendly. The place is a little dingy and truck stop atmosphere. If you want a relaxing meal with a beer or drink, don't order food until you are ready too eat. Food comes almost immediately. I would recommend.

They say the further away you get from Austin and San Antonio, the worse the Tex-Mex gets. So no surprise that it is not too good in far NE Texas when you are almost in Louisiana and Arkansas. Ordered Chile con queso as an appetizer. The queso was runny as if they had poorer hot water in it. The taste... More

After reading the reviews, I expected better, a lot better. The restaurant was not busy except for a party in the back, or so we were told. We seated ourselves, a part of 5, in a booth. We waited for the waiter for a good 15 minutes. Finally received chips, went ahead and ordered Queso because kids were ready to... More

We ate at Don Juan's and had a good meal. We ordered their fajatas and they were great. Their Charo beans were on the hot side a lot of peppers in them but I ate them all. My husband does not like hot food so he left his but it was a good meal and we enjoyed it.

the hospitality of folks that run this place is hard to find these days. they make u feel like youre welcome and they bend over backwards to make sure you are pleased with your stay.
