Great soup and cornbread

Soup and corn bread was home made. I am not a pie person but there were a lot of people just having pie and it was also homemade. It looked good

A first for us. Had the cornbread club sandwich. Very, very good. Try the jalapeño cornbread. Excellent. Topped lunch off pie and ice cream. Awesome. Would certainly eat there again. Also , very friendly service.

Kitt's is a cute little restaurant in downtown Jefferson. Instead of bread on the sandwiches, they uses cornbread! It's a soft, delicious way to do an otherwise normal sandwich. I wanted to try something basic, so I just got ham & cheese. I had to ask for lettuce & tomato, but they didn't charge extra. You can get plain cornbread... More

After seeing some of the other reviews of Kitt's, and then eating there, I can understand why the reviews are all over the place. The day that we were there, they were VERY understaffed. It appeared that there were only 2 people working in the whole place the day that we were there. Therefore, the service was slow, but the... More

Try the cheeseburger sandwish, ham and cheese or frito pie - you really can't go wrong and the broccoli salad is to die for.

We have been traveling to Jefferson for Mardi Gras weekend (this year they held their parades a week early due to Valentines Day) and we don't leave town without having a corn bread sandwich and a slice of homemade buttermilk pie. So, so good!

If you have never had a cornbread sandwich - and a lot of people have not - this is a "must try" if you visit Jefferson, Texas. In fact, we have driven the 40 minute drive just to have lunch there on more than one occasion. At our most recent visit during Mardi Gras we also ordered the strawberry walnut... More

Great little diner that prides themselves with everything cornbread! Menu has fried Bologna, turkey, chili, and cheese on cornbread.

Had buttermilk pie, and tea. Cafe was full. But very clean and the food was excellent. The staff was friendly and the cafe was very good. Intend to return.

I enjoyed eating the cornbread sandwich. It is a good place to go for lunch. It was not very crowded on the day we were there but I have seen it packed before.
