I took my dad for lunch the other day, and we both had a great meal. My dad had the buffet, which consisted of home cooked food. I had a BLT on one of their fresh baked breads. Awesome as always. I have had their buffet on different occasions and have always been pleased. The staff & owners are always... More

I was so disappointed in the bakery. Had visited a few years back and the bakery was wonderful. Was looking forward to visiting again;things have changed and NOT for the better. Lunch was enjoyable, the waitresses head was elsewhere and glued to cell phone. When noticed I was watching she quickly put the phone away and pretended to be busy.... More

After our wedding and a good nights sleep at the wonderful Jefferson Hotel we went here with many friends for breakfast. We were so pleased with the atmosphere, food and service. We will be back!

The Bayou Bakery has a new owner, new menu and staff. Their food is fresh, hot and country good. The daily lunch buffet is really good with usualy 3 main dishes and 5 vegetables to choose from. We eat there at least twice weekly. Breakfast is very good as well. The owner and staff are always friendly and professional. I... More

Although the restaurant has selections from the menu, they also offer a lunch from a steam table that has a couple of different entrees, several veggies, and rolls/cornbread. My wife and I had the meatloaf, with mashed potatoes, pinto beans, and fried okra. They brought cornbread to our table. Everything was delicious! It was like a meal from my grandmother's... More

I went here for breakfast because it was so close to the Jefferson Hotel where I was staying. My husband and I had omelettes, which were well prepared and tasty. The service was good and prices reasonable. It's in a historic building, which was once the old livery stable.

Went to quilt show this past week with a friend and had lunch the first day we were there at the Bakery mainly because it was convenient. Didn't know what kind of food they had. It's your typical "sandwiches/hamburgers and salads with a daily lunch special" kind of place. The difference is they have homemade breads. I had the BLT... More
