Mama's daughters diner is just around the corner from my house. The food is amazing. Down home southern cooking that you don't have to cook lol

We went on a Saturday right before closing (which is at 3 on weekends.) I really enjoyed my chicken fried steak and mac & cheese. The dinner rolls and corn bread were delicious. I wish they were served with butter. My brother ordered the chili cheese fries. The fries were so bland. It would have not been edible if there... More

It was a Sunday afternoon and I was craving breakfast food and pie. As it happens, D-News featured the Dallas location of this diner-chain for their pie. When we arrived, the tiny little diner was packed! Thankfully, a local informed us that it's a seat-yourself kind of place. Otherwise we would have stood at the entrance forever. Once we were... Hubby & I have gone here many times for Sunday lunch. I love, love the chicken & dressing, pinto beans, turnip greens and crisp green salad (with Ranch of course!) Their cornbread and rolls are to die for. Hubby loves their breakfast..yummy omelettes. Homemade pies and fried pies for dessert. Atmosphere is what you would expect..hard-working waitresses and "Mama's sayings"... More

We ordered the chicken fried chicken, which was okay and fairly mediocre in taste. We also ordered the chicken and dressing, and while the waitress said it was very good, we did not enjoy it. It was bland stuffing covered with yellow ( and i do mean yellow) gravy, It appeared to be out of a bottle or something, The... More

My friend and I coach Special Olympics basketball. Each year we attend a tournament in Irving, and either before or after the tourney we eat here, and it's always very good. The service is friendly, quick and very helpful if you have menu questions, need refills or anything pertaining to your meal. They have several different daily specials that rotate.... More

not very friendly staff, food average - I preferred Joe's Diner for family friendly atmosphere and keeping my coffee topped up

Great Homecooking just like Moma used to make. Large portions & friendly staff. We had a little trouble finding it but that was just fine with us. We will return

We tried this restaurant because of the name. It was fun! The food was great. This is an old-fashioned diner. The largest booth just seats 4, so if you are a large group, it can be difficult to be accommodated. This is old fashioned comfort food. We went for Sunday breakfast. The place was packed. The coffee was great. We... More
