Pinto beans like Momma made!

Hubby & I have gone here many times for Sunday lunch. I love, love the chicken & dressing, pinto beans, turnip greens and crisp green salad (with Ranch of course!) Their cornbread and rolls are to die for. Hubby loves their breakfast..yummy omelettes. Homemade pies and fried pies for dessert... read more

We ordered the chicken fried chicken, which was okay and fairly mediocre in taste. We also ordered the chicken and dressing, and while the waitress said it was very good, we did not enjoy it. It was bland stuffing covered with yellow ( and i do mean yellow) gravy, It appeared to be out of a bottle or something, The... More

My friend and I coach Special Olympics basketball. Each year we attend a tournament in Irving, and either before or after the tourney we eat here, and it's always very good. The service is friendly, quick and very helpful if you have menu questions, need refills or anything pertaining to your meal. They have several different daily specials that rotate.... More

not very friendly staff, food average - I preferred Joe's Diner for family friendly atmosphere and keeping my coffee topped up

Great Homecooking just like Moma used to make. Large portions & friendly staff. We had a little trouble finding it but that was just fine with us. We will return

We tried this restaurant because of the name. It was fun! The food was great. This is an old-fashioned diner. The largest booth just seats 4, so if you are a large group, it can be difficult to be accommodated. This is old fashioned comfort food. We went for Sunday breakfast. The place was packed. The coffee was great. We... More

I have never been disappointed with the food at Mama's Daughter and the waitresses are always so pleasant. They specialize in plate-lunch type meals with great fresh vegetables. My husband loves the stew and cornbread or a bowl of pinto beans and cornbread. I like their roast and always get their salad and greens with that. They have lots of... More

I've been going to Mama's since I was a kid. The food is always good as well as the service. It's one of my favorite places for a good American meal. The portions are especially generous. Breakfast is really good. It's worth the trip across down and you can frequently find their coupons on groupon.

You can't find better Comfort, homestyle food. (Although Mama's has four other locations in the metroplex.) Obviously she is doing something right. Family atmosphere, pleasant waitresses and helpful if you need assistance making choices. Daily specials are tasty and come with three sides included. Would highly recommend and certainly will go back. Very reasonably priced.
