Sweet tomato sauce was a disappointment

We dined at Trevi's on our recent stay and while we found the bruschetta amazing, we were not so impressed with our soup or entree. First, my tomato sauce was entirely too sweet. It was as if they doused it in honey or sugar and it was just overpowering any of the tomato flavor. The minestrone... read more

Trevi's is inside the Omni Mandalay in Las Colinas. I chose to dine on the patio which sits right on Lake Carolyn and provides a stellar view at sunset. It's just what you would expect from a high end hotel restaurant, but with a lot less stuffiness than you'd think. Go prepared, as it is pricey, but I felt like... More

Neat presentation, the oatmeal was served in a cappuccino cup with warm infused milk on the side. The setting itself is beautiful, lots of windows, beautiful patio.

Since our evening started pretty early, we were one of the few occupied tables at a window with a great view. It was too cool that evening for patio dining, but I would love to do that sometime. The staff was attentive and quick to serve. The food was great, as was the wine and service. No complaints. Pleasant, quiet,... More

We sat outside near the river, enjoying the breeze and the quiet. Not very many patrons on a Sunday evening, and we think the chef also had the night off. On the plus side, the food was very attractively plated. On the negative side, it wasn't very good, mostly bland and boring. The waiter did the best he could as... More

We enjoyed their buffet that included fresh melon, pineapple and strawberries plus assortment of pastry, muffins and bread. On the hot side they had breakfast sausage links, blueberry sausage and bacon, potatoes, scrambled eggs, cook to order omelets, pancakes and brioche French toast. The French toast while very good, warm syrup would have been better. The service is very good... More

My business partner and I ate here on January 29 for dinner. We used to eat here whenever we were in Dallas as the food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. The menu items are now a bit odd (mushroom ravioli with a lobster cream sauce ?). Also the execution of the dishes was not up to scratch. I... More

I ate at Trevi's two nights in a a row last weekend. I don't write many reviews - so take this as a sign. The first night I ordered the Gnocchi. Wow - it was just not appetizing. My sister ordered the pasta with scallops. When the server came by and noticed my plate was almost untouched and I was... More

When in and around the Omni Mandalay Hotel, this basement restaurant offers treats and entrees that can't be beat. Also, omelet made to order on Sunday's. Yummy.
