I'm not a big beef eater but when in Rome, er, Texas.........was in town for business, traveling w/ a colleague who also is not a big beef eater, but we dived in and both ordered a steak, topped w/ lobster bits and lobster sauce...and it was fantastic!!!! It was advertised as being topped w/ asparagus, but 2 skinny, small sprigs... More

We were in Las Colinas recently and needed a place for dinner. The Ranch was closed - it was a Sunday - so we walked to the Keg from our hotel. The hostess at the door had bizarre red hair. We sat at a table in the back . The restaurant seems nice. We ordered dinner and waited a while.... More

I always eat in the bar area. It's Dark and feels really great - I don't enjoy the dining room as much. A great place to have a happy hour with some great appetizers and then ease into Dinner.

You expect good steaks in Texas but that's not always the case. This busy little place offers a nice (not overly long) menu that all sounds good. My steak was very good and perfectly cooked. Add to this a good wine list and this is a noteworthy place to come back to.

Dining in a strip mall always makes me a bit nervous... are they there because of the location, or is the food worth eating. Great food all around, including the appetizer (escargots,) steak special with lobster sauce, and the "mini" dessert that would be "maxi" plenty of other places. Service was above the food, and the manager and others checked... More

I have been to this particular Keg several times. Most recently was an early evening drink with colleagues, followed by a full meal. The bar area is large and has plenty of high-top tables for sitting or standing as your group feels comfortable. Happy Hour takes a dollar off most drinks and includes a few cheaper beers as well. The... More

Good place for a business lunch in the Las Colinas area. Separate bar with ESPN. Prime rib their specialty. Atmosphere conducive to talking business.

I took some clients out for lunch and asked them to select the place. I had never been to this restaurant in Irving Texas and was skeptical when we pulled into a mall like setting. Once we walked into the restaurant, every moment got better. The service was excellent, the surroundings were very pleasant and conducive to conversation, but most... More

I've been to The Keg for lunch, dinner, and happy hour, and all three experiences have been very enjoyable. The steaks compare very favorably to some of the higher-end steak houses in the area. Service is just okay, which keeps me from giving it 5 stars. But it's worth a visit - very good value.

Wonderful menu and great prime rib. The atmosphere was good as we ate in the bar area (our choice) and the dinning room looked great. Very attentive staff and what you would expect for this upscale restaurant.
