Very good food

The service and atmosphere were very good. The food in my opinion was not what I would call traditional Mexican food, but it was very top notch. We enjoyed the Margarita's, and they did have a very good selection of drinks. Overall, it was very good experience and we left full and happy. The... read more

Food caused my wife and I to have upset stomachs that night and next day? We have had the same uncomfortable experience twice in the past month, so will not return anytime soon. My wife is a great cook and she thinks maybe they are not rinsing off the Beans prior to cooking. We usually eat traditional Mexican Food, such... More

We went here for Mothers' Day 2015. The cuts of lamb were tender and moist, served at the perfect temperature. The service was perfect. Just enough attention to keep the drinks from going dry, but not in the way of the conversation. These guys have it down.

I'm from Texas, born and raised. So when I think back to the most "upscale" mexican restaurants I've grown up with....none of them compare to the quality of food, quick friendly professional service or lively atmosphere I found at Via Real. Go. You won't regret it.

Very good gourmet mexican food. A big change from Tex Mex. at this restaurant yo get fresh fish, ravioli, great fish tacos. Service is very good. The only downside of this restaurant is the decor! Needs a little revamp. Chairs and wall decore are ok, bit the peach tablecloths need to go. Too miami vice. I understand the need of... More

Via Real was recommended by my hotel staff for dinner. The Margarita was tasty yet pricy. I think next time I'll skip it. After struggling to choose an entree (so many things sounded good) I had a filet and scallops. Man was it excellent. If I've had a cut of beef that tender I do not remember it. Both flavor... More

Came here for a business lunch. The cars outside and the decor made it seem like a "High End" restaurant but it was still just simple Mexican food. It was good and not much different then good Mexican food. The salsa was great. The lunch special was two steak burrito's for $16. They were good but still just a steak... More

Dined here this past week as a single (was in Arlington on business) and cant' say enough great things about Via Real! This is a gorgeous space decorated with the owner's own collection of Mexican and Southwestern pottery and objets d'art. The atmosphere is cordial, and relaxed. I was greeted at the door and escorted to my table with the... More

After reading all of the reviews I was looking forward to trying Via Real. I went on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was very busy. The service from the staff was great and they had a great drink options, but the meal missed the mark. I ordered a enchilada and taco and they just fell flat. The taco shell... More

I travel to the DFW/Irving area quite a few times a year. My go to Mexican/Tex Mex restaurant up until this point had been Mi Dia From Scratch over in Grapevine. After our meal at Via Real last week, Mi Dia is definitely in for some competition! That said, the two restaurants are not on the same level and probably... More
