Great restaurant, but a bit loud

I held an event for some business constituents here, and we were all well-pleased with the food. If they ask if you'd like fresh cracked pepper on anything SAY YES! The result will surprise you. :) Our dinner was a Wednesday night, so I did not expect the parking lot to be packed or the... read more

Seeking Texas fare for guests within or outside the Lone Star State? The Ranch is your go-to! Judd Fruia's staff knows how to impress with both cuisine & service. With 10 minutes notice, a table for 10 was ready and properly secluded for conversation. Michael learned everyone's name, never said "no" and honored every request perfectly. It's ideal for family... Some of these reviews say this place was too loud blah blah blah... not loud at all! Hands down best Angus steak and sides (creamed corn, cucumber salad, whipped potatoes) I've ever had!! Also ordered the toffee cake to split, the size was more than enough and served with homemade whipped cream - absolutely delicious. No need to travel to... More

This was my first visit to The Ranch in which I attended a reunion. Our group of appx. 65 people were in one of the large rooms at the rear of the restaurant which accommodated us very well. Consequently, the food for our group was already preselected, so no ordering from the menu. We had 3 main entrees, several sides,... More

We come here once a month in a large group full of nerds. The staff has gotten where they recognize us fairly well and they take care of us. They never complain when we want to split the check in large groups either. That's a plus! Last night we went (probably 25 of us) and they didn't have room. Well... More

The ranch has been in Irving (DFW Area) for some time. Not sure why it has taken us so long to get there...probably because we tend to eat at our same old favorite places... Skip the chain restaurants and give this place a try, you will not be disappointed! It has a great atmosphere, a sophisticated menu, taking traditional comfort... More

Dined here last night two couples first time as we were in the area. This has to be noted in other reviews. They do their Martinis in a small fluted glass Obv to make it different but results in small martini. My $25 glass of wine was a surprisingly small pour almost laughable pour and a friends scotch was also... More

Popular place--as with most trendy restaurants--the acoustics are loud and we had to shout at each other to have a conversation. Having said that, the food is pretty good solid fare.
