Four and 1/2 stars, actually. Big place, very Texan. The waiters and waitresses look like extras from "Thelma & Louise". But they are friendly and good, the place is hopping, and the food and drinks are excellent. The steaks are grass fed beef, always a plus for me, but we went elsewhere on the menu. I had the chipotle meatloaf,... More

Business travel is not fun but it helps if you can have a decent meal. A colleague and I ate here because it was close to our hotel. I did not have high expectation because the restaurant is basically behind a shopping area but i was pleasantly surprised. First - staff is super friendly from the hostess, to the bartender... More

This is one of our go to spots with out of town guests. Everyone can usually find something they like and they sport a local vibe with "farm to table". The cigar smoke from the attached porch can sometimes be annoying, so try not to sit by the door.

I went there with quite low expectations, after all, this is the Dallas area, and every bar / casual restaurant seems to be smoked filled; yes, Cool River I am talking about you. So I called them up and the hostess stated that there was a relatively large non-smoking area. The food was good, great selection. The tables by the... More

My family and I were looking for a casual place to for go for dinner that had a Texas flair. We decided on a restaurant that was close and our expectations were not high. We ended up having one of the best meals in a long time. Food was great and prices reasonable. Great bar and atmosphere. We got there... More

We've eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times. We are not from Dallas so we happened upon this restaurant last year and made a point of coming back. I had a dirty Tito's martini which was the best I've ever had. Our part of four shared the chef's appetizer that had a little bit of everything on it. Very... More

We were guided to The Ranch by our hotel concierge. Good choice. Great food selection including providing one member in our group with a separate gluten free menu to accommodate her needs. Our wait person, Jason, made recommendations, each one spot on. The steaks were delicious, seasoned and prepared perfectly. And , we learned, Saturdays all wines, by the glass... More

Dined at The Ranch with a couple of buddies for Nascar weekend Saturday night. Reservations were made made through Open Table. Received a call from the restaurant about 3 hours before reservation to confirm our intent. Upon arrival we were promptly seated. Service was attentive without being overbearing. We had the onion rings as an appetizer and they were extremely... More

I recently went here for a business meeting and was really impressed. We ordered a couple of appetizers for the table; the CHEF’S “FAVORITE 4” (Queso Blanco / branding iron onion rings / mini elk tacos / pork belly carnita stacks) and TEXAS LUMP CRAB DIP (Gulf crab / spinach / wild mushrooms / grilled flatbread). A couple of co-workers... More
