Neighborhood sushi cafe

Great place in Hurst/Colleyville area. Large menu of sushi/sashimi dishes. Fresh, tasty sushi rolls. Attentive service; sushi chef is friendly and will customize your rolls for you.

Walked in and waited to be seated. Saw several empty dirty tables and one that was clean. No one else was waiting ahead of us, but it took a while for someone to seat us. After we were seated and handed menus, then we sat for what seemed forever before a server came by and said, "Has anyone taken your... More

I simply have not found a better bento box than the sushi and sashimi at Ahoyama. There is plenty to eat, and the boxes are nicely arranged. But there is more to this story. A friend and I search the Metroplex about once every couple of months for "the next best sushi restaurant". Without going into all that we have... More

I love this place! I go as often as once or twice a quarter. Even visits as few as that, still the sushi chef knows me at sight, and is always pleasant. Kim inquires about my children, grandchildren, always. The food is consistently wonderful, healthy, and fresh, which is extremely important to me. She knows my order when I walk... More

My hubby and I had a great date night here. The menu explains each item and even has pictures. We got three orders and it was a perfect amount for us. Each one was meticulously prepared with great flavors. The service was very good, we were greeted warmly as we arrived and well taken care of during the meal.

My family has been eating at Aho Yama since they opened their doors, a good few years ago. In all these years, I have never heard a complaint about any one of their dishes. Their rolls are to-die-for and their plating would put some of Food Network's top chefs to shame. My only problem would be that I can never... More

Found this local restaurant on Trip Advisor. Seems like I'd seen it before, but never would have thought to try it. It's in a part of town that seemed to disappear (business wise) about 8-10yrs ago. As for the food, my family of 4 LOVED it. Both of my kiddos are picky, and both of them RAVED about how much... More

Our friends and extended family have watched this little restaurant change and grow over the years, and I reviewed it before. But one of my "sushi" friends and I recently had lunch there, and now it is rapidly becoming a "first choice" for us when we get that "must have sushi" urge. The Bento Boxes offered at lunchtime are really... More

I have been a fan of Aho Yama since moving to the neighborhood seven years ago. There is still no match for their quality combined with price. The staff remembers my kid's names, and my favorite rolls. Two thumbs up!

We love sushi and have eaten it at many different places in the metroplex and even a handful around the country. Aho Yama is by far the best. The rolls are stuffed full of ingredients, not like other places where the rolls are skinny with barely any substance. The presentation is beautiful...very skilled with vegetable carvings. They will accommodate with... More
