We went tonight and sat outside this funky Austin-like former gas station for dinner. Waited a bit for our burgers but that allowed us to enjoy the pleasant evening and very tasty dark double pecan beers. Burgers came perfectly cooked on delicious tasting buns. Mine was garnished with Stilton although it could have used twice as much. Fries were also... More

This out of the way spot is a good place to grab a burger and a pint. Beer selection is quite good. It is a small place with limited seating. If you go on a busy Saturday evening, you might have a hard time squeezing in and/or getting service. Try swinging by for a weekday lunch and you'll be well... More

You can feel the specter of the old gas station attendant that would ask you "regular or unleaded" as you lounge out at this cool spot tucked away in one of Houston's coolest neighborhoods. You won't get your windshield washed, or your oil checked but you will get some excellent grub, and great microbrews.

Way of where you'd think to look for a burger, Petrol Station offers a unusual setting. A patio and huge garden at the back full of trees and squirrels. What a nice place to visit, take a load off and enjoy great burgers and a good selection of beers. If you have some hours to spare and you are with... More

Came here during a slow hour with not that many customers to begin with to get a burger and a beer. Our beers were serve cold and immediatly. But the burgers literally took 70 min to be ready. People that came after us got their foods before us! I do not know if it could be a racial thing due... More

I dont get the big deal with this place...I have been twice recently and left both time. Let me start off by saying we have been on a quest to find the nest burger in Houston. I went to Yelp to help us with this task. We searched burgers...then narrowed that down by using the highest reviewed button. Petrol Staion... More

One of the best beer spots in Houston. It's hidden away in a neighborhood (Garden Oaks), but it's worth the drive off the beaten path. The food is excellent for bar food, in fact, it's good for any restaurant. The patio is excellent so it's a great place to go when the weather is nice.

Amazing beer selection, best I saw while visiting Houston. The location is pretty random (as are most things in Houston), in a neighborhood so there's really nothing else to do around it, but this is a fun place to spend the entire evening tasting different beers and meeting new people. The bartenders really knew about beer and the back patio... More

The location is in an old gas station. There is ample parking but it can get really crowded on the weekends so I generally only go during the week. They have an extensive beer list with some pretty obscure beers that will satisfy any beer snobs. The workers are all dressed like hipsters but they are super friendly. Get the... More

Iowa ain't got nothin' on the Petrol Station! If you want a laid back atmosphere, fantastic food and the biggest selection of quality craft beers then Petrol Station is for you. They've been around for a few years now and ever since we moved into the neighborhood we always make a point to visit. When they're busy, they can take... More
