Fabulous Birthday Dinner

My husband and I went for my birthday dinner before the theatre. We brought our own bottle of wine ($8 corkage fee). Free valet parking. This was on a early Tuesday evening (5:30) and we and one other couple had the place to our selves. Waiter was perfection. We told him we would be taking our time... read more

The service and food here have always been awesome and the BYOB makes it a relative bargain. We like to sit outside, but either in or outside is good. It's one of our favorites and we have been here many times.

First visit to Lucio's and was not disappointed. There isn't much ambiance in the dining room, but the servers were friendly and the food was good. I didn't bring wine in, but the wine list was well curated despite being short as I expect many do bring their wine. Scallops were perfect. One diner really enjoyed the pork duo. The... More

Very quiet and relaxing dinner on the patio out back. The dining room is rather small, not many tables, so if you are interested in going on a Friday or Saturday night make reservations early. The food and service were very respectable, they do allow you to bring your own wine, the corkage fee was $8 per cork, bring as... More

This is a great spot for a business lunch or for dinner out on the patio. Lucio's has not been open for lunch all that long, and it is a very easy in and out from downtown Houston, where I work. I bring colleagues and clients here often because I can always count on great food, personalized service, and a... More

We sat outside on a lovely evening and it was nice to have restaurant seating not right on a street. Felt secluded. We had very good service, brought our bottles of wine. I had the salmon appetizer which was wonderful - a bit large for an appetizer, but beautiful smoked salmon, some of which was wrapped around salmon mousse, topped... More

Moderate prices and mediocre food, unacceptable service, red wine only available chilled,, and lettuce hearts served in salads. Nobody is paying attention.

We were seeing a show at Stages and asked to be served quickly and we were. Melvin took good care of us. The calamari was awesome. NOT greasy, NOT heavy. Very light and tasty with two different sauces, neither of which was red for a change. I had the pork and it was very tasty and a large portion. My... More

My filet mignon was very good. The butternut squash was a little bland and there was very little of it. My friends said their crab cakes were bad & the arugula was also bad.

I wasn't blown out of the water by this place, despite seeing it on "Best Of" for BYOB on Houston Press and recommended by Open Table. But it is nice to go to a BYOB place and not shelve out a bunch of money on booze. Note "Best of" said $5 corking fee, which is now $8 per bottle. I... More
