I really want to give this place a higher rating! And let it be said I would go back!

This place was cute! However the empanada's are really hit or miss. Overall I think the casing is a bit to thick for an empanada but I could get past that cause it was flavorful. However the inside stuffings were very hit or miss. We loved the cheese ones and we loved the spicy ones all the... read more

At first, when I heard my grandpa and I were going to eat empanadas, I wasn't too excited. It was Christmas Eve and I was in the mood for turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy. As we pulled up to this restaurant, we exited the car and immediately, the first thing you notice is the smell. The most heavenly smell... More

We really enjoyed both the savory and sweet empanadas. They are reasonably priced and a decent size. They had some toys there and my five year old played and let us have a quiet meal!

We stopped off here for lunch not knowing what to expect, but was very pleasantly surprised. There was a great menu with a wide variety of fillings to suit everyone's tastebuds. Staff were very friendly and the service was prompt. We loved our meal especially the sweet treat empanadas. Lastly, everything was great value

We went here based strictly on other reviews. And the food we enjoyed at Marini's is exactly why we keep taking advice from TripAdvisor! We started with three empanadas each -- 2 savory and one dessert. But we had to go back for more. We tried the following: Beef gaucho, chicken poblano, chicken diablo, apple (with fresh chopped green apple!),... More

SWEET BABY OF MARY. I FOUND HEAVEN, AND HER NAME IS MARINI'S EMPANADA HOUSE. Why would I go to Katy, TX? Initially it was for an outlet mall nearby, and now I realize that my calling was to be brought to the light. The empanadas here at out of this world. Seriously, listen to every other review. They're consistent for... More

I first enjoyed the Argentine empanadas on old Westheimer near Montrose in the seventies. Yesterday I experienced Marini's empanadas on far Westheimer. We tried the meat, vegetable and dessert empanadas and neither my wife nor I were impressed. The dough of the empanadas was heavy and without fresh taste. My wife even tried adding salt to improve the taste of... More

We came here twice on our visit to Houston and this place is amazing!! Everyone is really nice and it's family owned. This should be on the number one spot of places to eat while I'm Houston. They have so many options for empanadas, even dessert ones that are delicious!! During lunch time it does get very full so try... More

This family eatery claims to offer traditional Argentinian fare with a wide variety of empenada's that highlight this menu. Combining traditional Argentinian flavors, local favorites, and international flare from around the world make this one of my favorite destinations in houston. Not to mention I don't look out of placing sipping a Yerba Mate from my gourd.
