We live in the SF Bay Area in a region with a high Indian population, but there aren't many good Indian options nearby. While on a weekend trip to Houston, we went to Kiran's twice. We went with friends for dinner to celebrate a birthday. The food was very tasty and the Chicken Tikka Masala, Prawns and Okra were especially good. The servings are not large so be advised. The Nann was good but not incredible. Service was very nice, waiter did not know how to pour beer so be sure to pour it yourself.... More

Being down in a Houston for business I thought I'd make the slight detour from my Downtown hotel to re-sample the delights on offer at this great Indian restaurant which I'd last been in about 6 months ago. I'm sure glad I decided to make the journey albeit without my usual food tasting partner-in-crime. I sat at the bar and... More

This remains my favorite restaurant in Texas. When a discussion starts with friends about where to eat, I always suggest Kiran's. The results have been consistent: those who swear they don't like Indian food fall in love with Kiran's. Service is impeccable, and prices more than fair for the quality and originality of the food.

My wife had a birthday party here - what a great gathering for a special occasion. The restaurant has a seated tea from 2-4PM on Saturdays. The teas were delicious, and the food went well with them (and were quite filling). I used to visit Kiran when she was at Ashiana's many years ago and look forward to dining at... More

It is not easy to find an Indian restaurant in Houston, by the Galleria area. I ended up trying Kiran's a bit randomly. I am usually familiar with Indian dishes, so I knew what I wanted and I must say that falvour-wise, Kiran's really delivered. Whether you like it or not, tt is one of those Indian places where you... We dined last night for a birthday dinner. The food and service were very good. Ask for the off the menu special price list. This was not offered with the menu at the beginning. The prices are lower on those options. Bring $$ this is not a budget Indian dining check. Reasonable for fine dining. We had 2 bottles of... More

I wish I could give it a 0, I been this place with my coulis, the food was absolutely horrible. i'm not even joking. my review is not just based on the food, (which was really, really bland), but the full service. The waiter who was serving us was so sense and manner less, we choose the food and this... More

Great food, excellent service! we had the pleasure to meet Chef Kiran during our visit to this restaurant - she made us feel special! Food was great (and I am not a big fan of the Indian cuisine!) and we had a great time (even my picky 7 year old daughter enjoyed it!). Worth a visit!

Probably one of the best Restaurants for Indian Food in Houston but quite expensive given the food quality. On the other hand the service is superb but not matched -yet- by the kitchen. Can recommend it if you crave for good indian food and also want to impress someone. However, I will try it again at least once and see... More
