the layout makes this a place to try at least once. we only had the seafood ceviche and it was very good. at $15 it was reasonable for the portion size.
Goode's Seafood, in my opinion, is a much better choice than the nearby Goode's Texas Barbecue, both in the Goode's small restaurant chain in Houston. I highly recommend the two dishes I almost always order here: Campechana Extra, a tall and delicious cocktail of shrimp, crab, avocado, and cilantro, followed by a bowl (or a cup if you are not... S is for successful, seafood surprise. Goode company is a fun, casual environment with several well known restaurants. The seafood was delicious. The empenadas were a great surprise that came with the meal.
A well established restaurant serving Houston for many years. Food is great and service even better. The traffic to get to it can sometimes be a problem, but it is worth the time.
She had a shrimp po boy and I had crab cake, boiled shrimp and seafood gumbo. All for it was bland and or/ordinary. Our service was unattentive, the atmosphere was "seafoody" and good. The food was no good. I was born and raised in New Orleans so call me a snob, but this food was no more that shrimp boiled... More

We ate here after attending a Rice university football game. The mesquite catfish was out of this world. They also have a fabulous appetizer that is like a shrimp cocktail but it is shrimp and crab in salsa with avocados and chips. The stuffed potato and the green beans and potatoes were very good too. We had a group of... More
They serve the best seafood cocktail with shrimp & crab that you have ever put in you mouth. I have a friend from San Antonio that drive to Houston just for this dish. Now that I am in Dallas, it is my first stop in Houston. Oh the Pecan pie is great also.
I stopped at Goode Company Seafood on a Monday night. At first, I didn't know what to make of the outside of the place because it looked like a diner. When I walked in there were picnic type benches and a long counter area/ bar, still looking like a diner. I sat at the counter, received prompt service and wow,... More
Loved the food. It was packed and the only two tables were along the side with a narrow path and wait staff traffic. Not a deal-breaker.
Goode in Houston is like a one stop group of food choices. There is a barbeque place, Mexican and a burger joint under the same Goode name and in the same area. My seafood was fresh and very tasty. Affordable meal. Good and timely service.
