This place is the real deal and from the first time to the last time I was there it is always terrific. The campechana is a tomato, crab, shrimp, avocado concoction that is served in an old fashioned ice cream sundae glass with white corn chips. Perfect for splitting with your guest or better all to yourself. If you try... More

In this almost diner-like restaurant the atmosphere is very "Texas"! They manage to accommodate you quickly, even if the place looks crowded, and the selection of food is excellent. The service is quick and efficient and the seafood very well prepared in large servings. The wine selection is well balanced to the food and reasonably priced. This is a "paradise"... More

We had the oysters rockefeller and they were great. The grilled catfish con slasa was also very good and the grilled flounder was fantastic. What seperates Goode Seafood from other restaurants is the fresh gulf seafood, no farm raised or previously frozen.

Major pieces of shrimp, great, soupy gravy, not overly-spiced, but with great flavors; love the garlic bread for cleaning out the big bowl. Never disappointed in 25 years. Whole flounder is a treat too, even with bones. Good coffee and drinks. Nifty old train car that was added on to; somewhat noisy some of the time, and usually have to... More

they have great seafood dishes but I wasn't impressed with the Poboy because they put pica de gallo on it and it made the bread soggie. Not good for any fried seafood poboy. It could have been service on the side.

What a pleasant surprise in the middle of a hectic, concrete city! A restaurant with awesome ambiance from the moment you drive up! Imagine my surprise when my cab arrives in front of an old amtrak train car turned into restaurant! I joined my party in the bar area which looks like an old diner. The wine selection was great... I liked the ambiance here, low key chic, diner feel and congenial. I had the catfish dinner with salsa verde. The fish was moist and stood up to the sauce. Rice and seafood empanada were excellent. It was a fun and delicious evening.

Went out for a late night snack and was amazed at what I found rich and hearty campenchena and delicate oysters Rockefeller

Very good seafood cooked to perfectin. Ambiance depend on where you sit: wagon side or back side. But the food is simply fantastic!

A friend and I went for lunch at Goode this past Friday. My first meal at this location...meals were decent but not great. Prices were on par for Houston seafood. The biggest issue was that the acoustics were so bad we couldn't hear each other speak. Not for a business meeting or to meet with someone you really want to... More
