Good Food!

The food at this place is a tex-mex combination of flavors. The seafood is always very fresh. The wait staff is always very friendly and efficient. The decor needs some updating with more comfortable chairs. This place is often very crowded on the weekends so go early or late.

Really great seafood and always had a great meal here. The campechana is really special and the pecan pie is well worth sampling. You may find yourself taking one home with you too

Food was average & pricey, not sure why so many ppl give this restaurant such high reviews. If it's a special occasion I guess I can see coming here but I don't think we'll be repeat customers.

As I understand this was the original Goode Company location I was quite impressed with the railcar-styled atmosphere. Very authentic and retro. The one downfall is that the restaurant was very loud....no carpeting to muffle the noise. Nonetheless, the service was spot-on, and the food delicious! I would highly recommend the Salmon as it was perfectly cooked, and a healthy... More

Casual atmosphere where food is always great! I love the empanadas. The shrimp Poboy is amazing. The trout almondine is excellent. Also best pecan pie around top it off with a scoop of ice cream and cup of coffee. Highly recommended.

Visited for the first time during Houston restaurants week. We were happy with all of our dinner, especially the gumbo, grilled redfish and fried shrimp. And for people who don't really even like pecan pie...theirs was incredible! I plan on getting whole pies for gifts in the future. They also have a nice selection of moderately priced wines instead of... More

It's hard to write a negative review of an iconic Houston restaurant! But that's what I'm doing. Had dinner last Saturday evening; I mention the day because it might impact the review. My entree, a grilled trout amandine, was greasy and tasteless! The almonds weren't even sautéed, just thrown on top. The French fries were cold and tasteless! The noise... More

While I eaten at goode's seafood several times and enjoyed their Cajun dishes. The very best part is to try their chocolate pie. Out of this world. Absolutely the best treat yourself dessert going. In fact you will want to take home some for later.

My family is from SA, TX and were passing through. We were told by a couple they drive an hour to eat here it's so good so we decided to drop in. The service Jennifer provided was excellent. She knew the menu well and helped us to quickly decide what we wanted to eat. She warned me the flounder was... More

Eaten here many times and I have never been disappointed. I love the italian oysters with proschutto and cheese grilled over the fire. Blacked and grilled fish and the fish empanadas. Save room for Chocolate Cream Pie.
