There is a reason why Goode Company has been in business for over 20 years. Theb fish is fresh every day and I really enjoy the taste of it when cooked over mesquit. Great service, fair prices.... Will be back again and again.

Houston has no shortage of seafood restaurants, but if you want the best be sure to visit the original Goode Company Seafood on Westpark near Kirby. The restaurant is small (part of it is in an old train car) and parking can be tricky, but it is totally worth it. Be sure to order the campechana - a seafood cocktail... More

By old fashion, i mean nothing glitzey. No table cloths, fancy napkins, nothing but real good seafood. We had a party of 7 on a Friday night early to beat the traffic. Our waiter was very good and knew what he was offering. All of us had fish. From my broiled flounder with lemon, to the market specials (red snapper... More

Was there on Saturday night, right before the restaurant was about to close. I sat at the bar, super fast service. In my opinion Best Gumbo in Houston!

Opted for seafood instead of turkey last night. Oysters were big and fresh, gumbo had a nice flavor, Red snapper was a bit plain, Flounder & Shrimp was a hit, Cobia was good. topped off with a bottle of New Zealand Whitehaven. For a non-Houstonite I thought it was a tad expensive. But was assured all seafood was fresh and... More

What a pleasure to pull up to this place in the heart of Houston (city south). There are two rooms they can take you to, ask to go left, not straight as the room on the left as you enter has more memorabilia and is cozier. The bar seats are more prime as well. Food is excellent and service a... More

Goode Company Seafood in its "Original" location is an experience almost like a New Jersey Diner. The place was jumping with people and just a bit noisy. For starters, we chose the "Campechana De Mariscos" (Mexican Seafood Cocktails) and Oysters Rockefeller (with crab meat & bacon). Neither were spectacular. One main course was the nightly special "Gulf Red Snapper" covered... More

I've been eating here on and off since the 1980s. Goode still delivers fresh, delicious seafood in a nice atmosphere at acceptable prices. This time I went for the shrimp étouffée meal, and found it as delicious as ever. Margarita was only so-so. I had my meal at the bar. Service was expert and attentive; neither rushed nor tardy. I...
