Goode Company BBQ has served countless plates of savory, mesquite-smoked barbecue to Houstonians for more than 34 years (and counting). We take pride in what we do, make everything from scratch, and stay true to the Goode family’s recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. From our beef brisket or spicy pork— to our homemade jalapeño cheese bread, we serve BBQ the “goode way.”We also carry a variety of items in our online store, such as smoked turkey, turkey and pecan pie gift sets, sausage, brisket, BBQ gift baskets and Texas gift baskets.

their brisket is really incredible!

Was in Houston on business and getting hungry; was driving along the Katy Freeway (I-10) and noticed this place so pulled in as I was in the mood for barbecue. I ordered the 2 meat plate - ribs and brisket. I received 3 nice meaty ribs and then a decent stack of sliced brisket. The brisket was... read more

While Houston has many great Bar B Que establishments Goode Bar B Q has always been a staple for many years. Their bar b que is always very good and consistently prepared. The cafeteria style process also is very helpful that you are able to get served quickly during peak hours. Besides the good bar b que they have very... More

On a quick weekend jaunt to Houston, you'd think we'd experience a variety of different places to eat. We enjoyed Goode Company BBQ so much the first time, we made it a point to go back again! The first time, I had the brisket. I did not use any sauce at all! The meat was that good! The second time,... More

As a native Texan, having eaten my weight in barbecue many times over, Goode Company remains the champ in my book. Outstanding brisket and sausage, smoked turkey and tasty sides. The jalapeño bread is always great. And the sauce is to die for.

While in Houston, we wanted to have real tex-mex food and real bbq. Our tex-mex experience was at La Mexicana (see my Yelp review). For bbq, we were recommended this place after visiting the Sam Houston National Forest and the Woodlands (April 2). We were in during the middle of the afternoon, so there weren't many other customers. It was... More

As a northerner, in for a day on business in Houston, I certainly don't qualify as a Texan that knows, BBQ, but I am an American who knows a great BBQ joint when I taste it. My Texas friends introduced us. the Brisket Beef Sandwich was hand carved in front of me, placed on a Jalapeño Cheese Bread Bun (I... More

This place was recommended by my brother who lives nearby in Houston. It is a large western style cafeteria kitchen which you pick and choose what you want to eat. The brisket, sausage and the sides with the jalapeno bread were all cooked to perfection and thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely worth a visit when in the area. They also have take... More

I don't understand why this place has recived so many good reviews. My boyfriend and I dined in this establishment last night and we were taken aback by the seemingly overpriced menu in such a run down hole, in the wall! Oh and then comes the food! Aside from the fact that your food is served to you in an... More

Texas BBQ done right. Love every thing about this place. The interior has a stuffed buffalo with a saddle on it and there are saddles and old lever action rifles everywhere. But the real attraction is the food. Beef brisket, ribs, sausage, turkey, beans, potato salad, jalapeno bread; it's all excellent and their sauce is awesome. You will not be... More

Chopped brisket sandwich Baked beans 2 soft drinks 19$ Visiting from out of state I decided to stop by since this is ranked as Houston top 5 bbq restaurants. Food is fresh and taste good. But it is nothing special and way overpriced. I'm sure some menu items are better but overall it's average at best.
