Kenny & Ziggy's

This is arguably, not just the best deli in Houston, the best deli in Texas. If you like corned beef and or pastrami sandwiches, matzoh ball soup, and more, you need to go there.

We ate here on a recommendation and wow what a disappointment. A #1, fries, tea and a potato pancake $46 with tip. Co worker had there veal chop special it was tough, over cooked and smothered in some thick gravy for $45 add a drink and a side makes it $61. Place is beyond over priced.

I was looking forward eating a great pastrami sandwich(NY). Went to this place and it wast just OK. What I really didn't like was the potato salad, flavorless, and the pickles (gave me two) one was not bad, the other was kind of bad. After spending $15.10 I was expecting at least a great sandwich. I don't know why but... More

Bring your money, because nothing is cheap here. It may not be Manhattan rents, but when you are in the Galleria area of Houston, you know you are among the high priced spreads. Sunday 2:30 and the restaurant is mobbed, reminds me of Yogi's quote, :"no one goes there because it is too crowded" We didn't have to wait, but... More

If you want to die early, order the Just Bacon a Living (BLT). As you are eating you can feel the fat and cholesterol coursing through your veins. The little voice in the back of your head is telling you to stop but you can shut it up with another amazing bite. If you survive the BLT, order a slice... More

I used to travel to New York a couple times a year just to go to the delis. There's nothing like a nice Rueben. Especially, if it's done in the openface New York way. This restaurant gives you great value. high-quality, good size, and a fair price. We brought some foreign friends here, and this was their favorite restaurant of... More

Kenny and Ziggy's does some things great, and other things just average, with most items being better that average. The deli meats are great. Chicken soup and matzoh ball soup are great. Knishes & pickles are great. Omelettes are very good. My kids like the pancakes, but if I'm going to eat such things, they better be heavenly, and K&Z... More

This is a really good deli diner. The portions are large and very good. Service is quick and friendly. Not sure if you can book and think you might have to wait for a table at peak times. We ate there a couple of times (as we did when we were in Houston a year ago) and can't fault the... More

Eat here frequently! Love their number 1! As a former New Yorker I love that they have half sour pickles and square coney island knishes but their rice pudding has GRAPES in it! So goes the ending of the perfect meal!

The menu is extensive, the portions are appropriately huge, and the food is great. My wife and oldest son swear by the turkey, my other kids are always thrilled with their orders (they vary), I always enjoy my pastrami sandwich, and the desserts are fantastic. This place is a 9/10. The ONLY thing that kept me from giving this 5... More
