Must try the pastrami

You walk into a strip mall restaurant, but once you're inside you feel like you're in a New York Deli based on the ambiance and decor. If you don't know, they hand make all the pastrami and corned beef. As a family, we ordered the #5 Levinson's Limit and the Zigalicious. The portions are huge... read more

Really, that good. Classic New York style deli with the usual fare. But the quality is first rate, and the portion size is very Texan (everything is bigger in Texas). A little pricey for a deli, but well worth it. Try I, you'll like it.

This place is as Great as it gets for an authentic NY deli. I have eaten all over Houston and if you are looking for something out of the ordinary this is it. They serve everything you would find in a NY deli and then some including Matzo ball soup. I had the giant pastrami sandwich which was about 10... More

The documentary "DeliMan" celebrates Jewish delicatessens in America and Canada, and concentrates on Ziggy Gruber, of Kenny & Ziggy's. We ate lunch at the deli, then went to the movie. The movie is good; lunch was unbelievably good. A Reuben may have been the best ever, the portobello mushroom sandwich was great, the club had all kinds of meat and... More

This was like eating in a deli back in NYC!. The food and the servings were oversized and delicious. The knishes were outstanding as was the corned beef...and the giant black and white cookie. My wife, who does not enjoy delis had the chicken pot pie and raved about it. This will be the place I stop everytime I am... More

First we saw "Deli Man" at River Oaks Theater. Then, we headed over to Kenny and Ziggy's- and immediately spotted the star of the documentary, Ziggy, in his bustling dining room, greeting diners at their tables! This is the quintessential Jewish deli. What a treat! Crisp pickles-the nice bright green ones are a favorite of mine- arrived at our table,... More

The sandwiches are expensive, but you'll see why when you get them. They are huge! I can say that the best Reuben sandwich I've ever had was at Kenny & Ziggy's. I would say that this place is on par with the Carnegie Deli in NYC, and it's right here in Houston!

Ok food, but very expensive. Like $84 lunch expensive. We were curious and wanted to visit because of diners, drive ins and dives. I had the Reuben, which was good, but nothing special. My husband and daughter had the special, which was a chicken pot pie, again, good but nothing special. The service was good, and the atmosphere what you... More

Kenny & Ziggy's is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston. They fly their smoked salmon in from New York so it tastes just like it does in the NY/NJ area - yum! Their bagels are authentic NY bagels as well and when they're toasted they're even more delicious with cream cheese. I love their sour and half sour pickles... More

I usually start out by saying I don't like telling people about food because everyone has different taste, but this place was NOT for me. The group of people I was with apparently loved it. I tasted my food that I didn't even eat and I tasted my husbands and didn't like either.
