If you want traditional NYC deli food this is the place! All time fave of our family! The sandwiches are huge so you may want to share. The matzo ball soup is excellent. We always get some to go! Very crowded during peak times but definitely worth the wait!

Yes, who would ever have thought that you could bring a New York Style Deli to Houston and be this successful. It's because of the quality of food. Try the Tongue Sandwich and you will never even have a better one. There Corned beef sandwich isn't so bad either.

And the chopped liver was excellent so was the matza (huge) ball. I will have to come here once a year for my deli fix. Had 2 more meals with my left overs.

The sandwiches are HUGE so either have an appetite to match, share with someone or plan on taking it home for later enjoyment. The soups are delicious too.

Two friends and I went here for breakfast. My banana pecan pancakes were delicious, but neither of them liked their eggs, hashbrowns, etc. The menu provides just about anything that is edible if you like tongue, etc and some things I had never heard of. There is lots of room between tables, so you're not sitting on top of each... More

I am from New York and have lived here many years. I have seen most all Deli's around here come and go.I have been to most Deli's in the US and have to say that Ziggys is the best. First off I have heard people say it has high prices, but I say not really. Kenny and Ziggy use the... More

Visited the deli after the UH - Tulsa football game. We had a party of 5. Had traditional deli food. I had a hot pastrami sandwich on rye with mustard, This is a monster sandwich, I ate half and took the rest home for a second meal. Others had the Rubin, my Brother had some soup and a matso ball... The best matzo ball soup in Houston. Delicious chopped liver and egg salad. Huge sandwiches - easily shared. I've never had a bad meal here. Large selection of foods not available at the usual restaurant. You won't leave hungry! If you want a deli experience in Houston, this is the best one!
