This was, by far, the best Tex-Mex I have ever eaten! Not only was the food outstanding, but our waiter was friendly, helpful, and prompt. He offered us welcome advice about the extensive menu, and he was spot on! Try the Parilladas - mixed grill fajitas, served with sausage, ribs, shrimp, etc. Two of us had plenty of food with... More

Wonderful waitstaff, great back patio. Parking was a bit difficult but only because the restaurant is so popular.

It's not authentic Mexican food, more like Tex-Mex, but anytime we've been, the restaurants are packed at all of their locations. Service might be too fast, but they do let you linger if you want.

Well obviously the waiters don't care about the patrons here. It's not the first time we've noticed this. However, the busboy/server was very helpful. Waiter threw food down, had no comments, when we asked questions he basically nodded and walked away. HORRIBLE SERVICE. El Tiempo is so busy they're just churning people in and out as fast as they can.... More

Excellent food choices, free chips and salsa!! I had the fajitas and they melted in my mouth! Might have to wait a while for reservations, you should call ahead . One tip: We ate by the bar and had no wait!! Same great service and meal!

This is the second location I've been too. The food is always great. If you have a large party get the giant platters with a variety of meats and seafood. Just be careful, a dinner for 2 clan easily feed at least 5 people with leftovers. It's a great way to share a meal with friends.

I love Tex-mex and this was the best I have ever eaten. Shrimp cocktail was excellent, but the pork tacos were magnificent!!! The service equaled the food!!!!!

Nice Informal place, always full of customers. Their food is really good and their margaritas are great! Their fajitas are ine of my favorite dishes here. Their service is always polite with a smile, very accomodating. Pricewise, I'd say they are fair.

The only times I have been to El Tiempo were later in the evening. It's got a hustle and bustle atmosphere on the weekend evenings when all the Houston friends get together for margaritas and Tex Mex. Good food and good drinks, and fun restaurant for a late night out.
