Homemade taste carefully prepared.

Mia bella is a long standing favorite and rightfully so. The downtown location is in a historic building located near the Preston light rail stop. The price points for both the dinners and wine are more than fair.

We stopped in before an event we were attending on a Saturday. The restaurant was totally empty. After a long wait for our drinks (water and Diet Coke) our waiter came to take our order. We had decided to just get a salad and some appetizers. We settled on the Insalata Mia Bella, the Bruschetta alla Romana, Torta di Granchio... More

We accidentally stumbled in, lured by the inviting store front and design. The servers worked as a team and were very friendly and genuinely glad to have us as their guests. The menu is varied and the prices are a great value. The seafood dish I had did not skimp on the items and was absolutely delicious! This is our... More

We were seated within minutes on a Saturday night without reservations. Which we desperately needed out of the cold rain. Their service was great and knew that their style of food was not exactly Italian or common, but with a modern twist. Our waiter knew about the wine selection well and had no problem answering any questions we had pertaining... More

I would like to give them a 3.5 but TripAdvisor doesn't have that option so I'm giving them a four out of five because they are dog friendly which is a big plus in my book. We looked at the brunch menu the evening before and asked if they would allow our dog so we had a plan the next... More

Everything about the service was strange. First, they told us how lucky we were that a reservation cancellation meant they had room for us, but the restaurant was empty during our entire meal. We waited forever for our Salads and realized the Waiter had forgotten to put the order in. My colleague asked for bread and the waiter said they... More

after a long journey to arrive in Houston, I was anxious to relax and enjoy a good dinner. Delicious meal. A few notes - the soup while warm, could have been a bit hotter. The waiter was confused by the "wine flight". I ended up with a Pino Grigio, when asked if I wanted another glass, I revived the same... More

Yes, yes, the food is great here. The location is wonderful -- right on the light rail line. But service is the absolute best. The wait staff (and manager) are considerate and when they know it is a special occasion, they go all out. But, back to the food. Every dish is interesting and well prepared. We have tasted almost... We ate here the night before the Houston marathon. As you might imagine, any Italian restaurant would be crowded the night before a marathon. The place was packed with large groups. We had a reservation and they show us right to our table. Our server took our drink orders promptly and told us about the specials. I started with a... More

We arrived by coincidence just looking for a place to eat pasta. The server was very friendly, very professional and the food was great. We had such a great time that we came back today for lunch once again and the service was even better. The place was not full and we were lucky to find parking nearby. Food portion... More
