Best Tex-Mex in Texas

I absolutely love going to Pappasito's, it is always included in our annual trip to see our grandparents. The chips are fresh and crisp, and their salsa is often made right there in the restaurant. It may be pricy, about $15 a person, but it is worth the cost. Even if you have a big group, you... read more

We came here for a late lunch. My daughter and i decided to share a cheese enchilada plate, tamale and crispy beef taco. The hot tortilla chips arrived warm and perfectly crisp. The accompanying salsas were tasty. Everything was ok except for the taco. It was so salty that I couldn't take another bite. We were satisfied with the food... More

I took my 95 year old Aunt , a cousin and a friend to Pappacitos nrg stadium for dinner on Feb 26. The traffic was at a standstill due to Go Texan days at the stadium and it took us 30 min to go the final mile to the restaurant parking lot. Once there we were seated quickly even though... More

Had the spicy chicken chipotle lunch this past week. Very delicious and the staff was very accommodating to replace the chicken with fajita steak for a very small charge. Lunch was quick, delicious and attentive. Ordered the side salad which was hefty in size rather than the beans and rice and could have fed 2 with the meat as the... More

The hotel staff recommended this restaurant when I asked about where to go for some good Mexican style food. I am from rural upstate NY and our version of 'ethnic' food is Italian. Pretty much, that's it. So I was thrilled to be out and about where I could get some of what I love. Some spicy Mex (or Tex-Mex)... More

Pappasito's is by far one of the best Tex-Mex Restaurants you will find. The table side guacamole is excellent and the fajitas are worth the price. I always try to eat at a Pappasito;s whenever I am in town.

This was my second visit to a Pappasitos in the last 2 months. Prior to that it had been several years. We used to be regulars. No doubt you will get a large portion of good Mexican food. I have no complaints about that. They use undersized tables that are too small for 4 people so you are crowded at... More

Went there on a Sunday night in February, place was slammed. Huge portions so think before you order how hungry you are. My friend and I split fajitas combo and could barely finish. Her husband had a full plate. Great food you cannot go wrong. Only fyi your clothes will smell like the place, had to air my jacket outside... More

Highly recommend the table side guacamole. Awesome chips and the best Mango margarita. Staff is very courteous. The tables are close together and that would be my only criticism.
