We celebrated a friend's 25th birthday here so i reserved a table for 6 of us. They were nice enough to provide us a nice table in a private room. I told them that we needed a cake, so at the end of our dinner they gave my friend her cute bday cake while the pianist played the bday song... More

The four of us had a great dinner at Sorrento. The fantastic bread basket and delicious roasted garlic starter were a wonderful beginning to our meal. The appetizers were great all around, except that the beef for the carpaccio was sliced too thick. The risotto prepared in the cheese wheel iwass an elegant touch. Mains were excellent: filet mignon (unfortunately... More

We had a GREAT dinner and will definitely go back again. As others have stated it is on the expensive side but the food was absolutely GREAT. Most of the food dishes wasn't overly expensive but bottles of wines were pretty pricey. We had 1/2 bottle ($35) of their blended wine which was very good. The 1\2 bottle choices was... More

I had wanted to be cheesy and "relive our engagement" and found choose this solely because of its name. We got engaged in Sorrento, Italy and the restaurant was named Sorrento. We didn't expect anything extravagant, but it was worth the drive. We live in the Woodlands so we usually just go to steakhouses nearby, but this was a special... More

We picked Sorrento for our anniversary brunch. Lovely decor, not too crowded and fantastic attentive staff. The piano player was a great addition. Everyone's meal starts out with your choices from a beautiful selection of breads and muffins...all delicious. For entrees, I had the frittata with goat cheese and basil and hubby had crab cakes Benedict. Delicious and wonderful presentation.... More

Seated 1 hour after reservation and then waited 15 or so minutes for a cocktail / wine request. Appetizers served by unknowing staff who asked "who ordered what"? Similar service at main course. A shame the food (actually quite good) could not offset the shoddy service. There are too many stores in Houston at this price point that care about... More

I just realized that I have never reviewed this restaurant, even though they are our "go-to" place. Wonderful place for dinner, very nice ambience, great for a romantic dinner. Excellent food, excellent service. When we want a really nice meal with no surprises, this is our pick. Lovely breads, best fish preparation I have had in this town, very good... More

Last night, the wife and I dined at Sorrento for the first time as a couple; I've been there several times for work related meals, and had never been quite as impressed. But, at 4 pm yesterday, I decided that we needed to go out on a "date", and I was pleasantly surprised that I could make a reservation at... More

Recently visited this Houston gourmet restaurant and found it to be an outstanding choice. Their menu is very Italian with each menu choice being superbly done. We ordered their escargot and beef carpaccio for appetizers which were exceptional. I ordered a special of the evening which was a tomahawk bone in ribeye which was enormous and enormously tasteful and perfectly... More

The crab cake is so different and not what I expected but it was delicious and light. I also had the osso bucco ravioli which are to die for. You can definitely tell the pasta is homemade and fresh. Will definitely be going back. Specialty drinks are delicious as well!
